After Justin Roiland Controversy, Hulu Replaces Him With Marvel Star
Solar Opposites is an American adult animated sitcom created by Justin Roiland and Mike McMahan for Hulu. The first episode was aired on May 8, 2020. Solar Opposites revolves around Terry, Korvo, Jesse, and Yumyulack — a family of aliens who end up crash-landing on Earth. The family of the aliens is forced to stay on the blue planet. They often contemplate their life on Earth. The family of aliens comes from Planet Shlorp, which is an advanced alien world that has already sent out one hundred ships to colonize new planets shortly before its destruction.
Marvel Star Dan Stevens Replaces Justin Roiland In Solar Opposites
Legion star Dan Stevens is making headlines nowadays for a great reason. The actor has replaced Justin Roiland as the voice behind one of the main characters of the sci-fi animated sitcom Solar Opposites. Dan Stevens rose to the limelight by playing the role of Matthew Crawley in the British Drama series Downton Abbey. Later, the actor even appeared in the 2014 released thriller movie The Guest, Disney’s live-action version of Beauty and the Beast in 2017, and the movie Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga, a musical-comedy drama released in 2020. The actor made headlines with his FX series Legion. Dan Stevens would be seen in the upcoming movie Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire, which would be released in March 2024.
Recently Hulu announced the casting change with the help of a new clip from the animated sitcom Solar Opposites, which showed Korvo going through a piercing in the throat by a dart. After getting zapped by the voice-fixing ray, Korvo, who is now voiced by Dan Stevens goes on to tell his alien partners not to mess around as they would end up being late for work.
Why Justin Roiland Was Removed From Solar Opposites
The co-creator of the famous animated sitcom Rick and Morty, Justin Roiland made headlines and shocked the entertainment world. The American voice actor came under the media scanner for domestic violence charges made against him by the woman he was dating. Justin Roiland was shown the exit door from the sitcom Solar Opposites and even lost his production contract with the 20th Animation earlier this year. He was also barred from Adult Swim’s super hit animation sitcom Rick and Morty. Justin Roiland co-created Rick And Morty sitcom along with director Dan Harmon and even did the voiceover of both of the titular roles. An investigation is still going on at Warner Bros.

Justin Roiland’s career took a backseat as his Hollywood career fall apart after the allegations of domestic violence came out and the reports, that were included in the reputed media outlet The Hollywood Reporter, uncovered the years of his allegedly disturbing behavior. An Orange County District Attorney had dismissed the domestic violence charges and even went to cite insufficient evidence. The writer-turned-director had termed the outcome as justice and further maintained the allegations were false. He had allegedly asked the former Mad magazine editor, Allie Goertz to write a song of nine d*cks hanging from her face and wanted her to write the lyrics.
Solar Opposites’ fourth season is set to premiere in August 2023 on Hulu.
