Amber Heard’s Lawyer Elaine Bredehoft Screwed Up Her Career So Badly After Losing Johnny Depp Trial She Reportedly Started Crying in the Court Bathroom
Johnny Depp and Amber Heard were involved in a lengthy legal battle that originated from the latter’s claims of being a domestic abuse victim. Both sides had their fair share of setbacks from the trial. While the former was initially criticized, the actress has to face severe backlash for her claims. Even the aftermath of the defamation trial last year pushed the actress to the very core.
However, they were not the only ones who got affected by the consequences of the trial. Their lawyers also had to deal with the results. While the former’s reps had a hike in their career, Heard’s lawyer had to face immense damage in their career. It was reported that her lawyer, Elaine Bredehoft was reportedly spotted crying in the court’s bathroom soon after their side lost the defamation lawsuit.
Lawyer Elaine Bredehoft Was Seen Sobbing in The Court’s Bathroom After Losing The Defamation Trial
In the 2022 defamation trial, Amber Heard was represented by Elaine Bredehoft and Adam Nadelhaft from Charlson Bredehoft Cohen Brown & Nadelhaft with Ben Rottenborn from Woods Rogers Attorneys At Law. The actress was engaged in a legal lawsuit of defamation filed by her ex-husband, Johnny Depp in 2019.
Their lawsuit went on for six weeks starting on April 11 and concluding on June 1. The decision went in favor of The Charlie and the Chocolate Factory actor. While the former’s lead lawyer is quite renowned in the industry, losing a highly publicized trial allegedly took a toll on her. Back when Heard’s side lost the lawsuit, Bredehoft was reportedly seen crying in the washroom of the Virginia Courthouse after the arguments were closed.

A Twitter user who was quite aware of the court proceedings revealed that he saw the lawyer sobbing. Though, the user in a follow-up shared that he was not sure of the reason which could have led her to burst into tears. He further added that the publicized trial might have been overwhelming for her since every small detail was public to the world.
A Brief Note on The Defamation Trial
The Aquaman actress wrote an op-ed in 2018 on The Washington Post claiming herself to be the victim of domestic abuse. Her piece quickly garnered major attention with her former husband ending up suffering the consequences. Depp’s reputation was highly tarnished however she did not mention him by his name in the article.
After getting a brief backlash from the public and entertainment industry, The 59-year-old actor sought legal help to restore his reputation and demanded $50 million as damages. The jury announced the verdict in his favor with the court ordering the actress to pay her former beau $10.35m while she was awarded $2m for her counter-claims.
Later on, she decided to end the saga by agreeing to pay Depp $1 million, which was paid by her insurance company.
