Aquaman Star Amber Heard Makes Hollywood Comeback With New Film ‘In The Fire’, Johnny Depp Fans Seething With Rage
Since her infamous defamation trial against ex-husband Johnny Depp concluded last year, Amber Heard has been mostly out of the spotlight. Naturally with so much negative media attention and cyberbullying she seems to have decided to keep it low by settling in the Spanish town of Mallorca with her daughter Oonagh.
At the time of the trial, a lot of talks went around regarding her future in the film industry. Despite the rumors of the actress losing projects, she has been working on various upcoming ones. Her latest, In the Fire, is reported to be released this year. The news seemingly did not sit right with many of the Depp fans as they responded with discontent.
News of Upcoming Amber Heard Film Premiere Upsets Johnny Depp Fans
It seems that after their bitter court trial against each other last year, both Johnny Depp and Amber Heard have decided to focus on their acting career. Recently, Depp attended the Cannes film festival for his upcoming historical drama Jeanne Du Barry. The actor received an 8-minute standing ovation, which shows his popularity has not gone down as much.
Similarly, his ex-wife Heard, who has been out of the spotlight since the trial concluded, is also coming out with her upcoming project, In The Fire. The film is set to screen for a world premiere at the Italian Taormina Film Festival this year. It was recently revealed with the line-up that the Aquaman star is reported to make an appearance, which will be her first one in such an event after a long time.
However, Depp’s fans are seemingly not happy with the news and her comeback in general. Many took to Twitter recently to express their discontentment.

In the Fire is among a strong lineup of many other movies. The festival as always will be held in the Sicilian town of Taormina from June 23 to the 1st of July.

Amber Heard’s upcoming project In The Fire directed by Conor Allyn is set in the 1890s. It is a Horror tale that follows the story of a psychiatrist, Grace Victoria Burnham (Heard) from New York, who is called in to cure a disturbed autistic boy in a remote plantation area.
As she tries her best to cure the boy of his ailment, Victoria also has to save him from the villagers and the village priest who are all of the opinion that the boy is possessed by some demonic force.
