He will voice the character of Orion Pax, who will portray a young Optimus Prime. His fellow Avenger, Scarlet Johansson, will voice Elita-One in the movie.
Chris Hemsworth Almost Lost His Role as Thor to his brother Liam
Although Chris Hemsworth’s achievement in the MCU is quite known, many Marvel viewers might be surprised to know that his brother, Liam Hemsworth, also auditioned for Thor in 2011.
During a Vanity Fair interview, Chris uncovered the truth, saying that both he and Liam were thought to play the role. When asked if he was worried about losing the role to his brother, he said,
No, ’cause I was told I didn’t have the part at that point, so I was excited for him. A little jealous maybe, but I was excited for him. Then when I was allowed to re-audition, it was when he was out of the picture. So we were never neck and neck. It was either I was involved, then wasn’t, and he was involved then wasn’t, then I was involved.
Moreover, before getting selected for the role of Loki, Tom Hiddleston also auditioned for the role of Thor. In an interview on The Tonight Show, Hiddleston shared his audition clip and mentioned that he was happy that Chris got the role.
Chris Hemsworth’s family connection with Thor doesn’t end here. His wife, Elsa Pataky, and kids, India Rose, Sasha, and Tristan, all had minor roles in the films. Hemsworth even shot the audition tape of his daughter for the role of Gorr’s daughter in the movie Thor: Love and Thunder.
