Edward hires Vivian to accompany him to several business and social functions and they get close in the week-long time period.
In 2019, Emily Blunt appeared on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert and she confessed to a hilarious anecdote regarding the movie from her childhood. Apparently, Blunt’s father was a pioneer in renting out movies that are not appropriate for children to watch at all. Blunt remembers how her father rented out Pretty Woman and they were watching the infamous scene where Julia Roberts offers Richard Gere’s character the condoms. Emily Blunt, in her childlike innocence, thought she was offering Gere sweets to choose from.
“My dad would be like yeah yeah, absolutely yeah. Just Sweets…and he can choose which one he wants.”
Blunt then said she was “disturbed” when she watched it later on and she was like,
