Chrissy Teigen’s Dating Life: Chrissy Teigen Was Already Dating Someone Before She Hooked Up With John Legend

The two shares beautiful children together. Teigen and Legend first met in 2006 on the set of his Stereo music video and they later started dating each other.
In a previous interview, the American model admitted that she didn’t force her now husband to be in a relationship with her. She said, “Never once did I ask, ‘What are we?’ Marriage was never my goal because I’ve never been very traditional. I was just happy to be with him.” But before tying the knot with Beauty and the Beast singer, the television star dated several other A-listers in the industry.
Chrissy Teigen Reveals She Has Only Dated a Few Men Before John Legend
The actress was also only twenty years old when she met the All of Me singer and according to Teigen, she dated only a few men before Legend. In a January 2019 social media post, the Lip Sync Battle host made fun of how she and her husband decided to move in together. She wrote on Twitter,
“I didn’t date much before Legend. I moved in with people. Like hello, I live here now. This is how John ended up in this situation.”
The actress also revealed how when they made their relationship public, she joined John Legend on his tour, where the couple had a bitter falling out. While on tour, the Love Me Now singer got sick, and he reportedly tried to break up with Chrissy Teigen. The model told Cosmopolitan in 2016. She said,
“He was like, I can’t be in a relationship right now. That lasted for one day. Literally, a day.”
During a previous interview, John Legend opened up about how he and Chrissy Teigen have made their marriage work. He shared,
“We actually really love and respect and admire each other. I think that’s the foundation of who we are as a couple and we actually enjoy each other’s company… She makes me laugh all the time. She’s so good. She’s so attentive, she’s so loving and she also has a great sense of humor about it all.”

John Legend Talks About Cheating On Exes And Marrying Chrissy Teigen
The Conversations in the Dark singer opened up about his history of infidelities before marrying his wife. In a candid interview on the Armchair Expert podcast, Legend shared he was not loyal when he started dating during his 20s. He said,
“I did have a history of cheating. Definitely in my 20s. I think what happened to me, you go through a lot of your life in your teens and I was younger than everybody in high school and college, and so I just didn’t get a lot of girls. When I started to get that attention, I loved it.”
He continued,
“I escaped ‘technically cheating’ by keeping my relationship ill-defined. But it was really cheating. I definitely was dishonest and selfish… It was happening before I was famous.”
He then shared that his whole life got changed when he married Chrissy Teigen whom he is married for 11 years. The On-Time singer said,
“At a certain point, you just realize you’re happier being honest. You’re happier being faithful and being in love with one person. At a certain point, I just decided that person was Chrissy. I decided I wasn’t gonna mess with somebody else anymore.”
He continued,
“We’ve talked about it before, but we had s*x the first night and hit it off. We were both seeing other people at the time. There was kind of a looseness at the very beginning, but we fell in love not long after that.”
He added,
“I feel like it almost makes it less likely that I would do anything to f**k it up. Chrissy has 12 million Twitter followers. If I were to do anything, it would be career suicide. It would be terrible. It just gives you another reason to not f**k it up.”
Chrissy Teigen announced she was pregnant again in August of 2022, after experiencing the loss of their third child Jack in 2020. The couple confirmed the heartbreaking news via their social media accounts. This year in January John Legend and his wife welcomed their newborn child Esti.
