According to THR, Christian Bale opened up about playing Frankenstein’s monster in an upcoming film directed by his The Dark Knight co-star Maggie Gyllenhaal. Not only is the American Psycho star ready to work for the film but to make it more engaging and authentic for fans, Bale is going through a massive transformation with a week away from getting bald. The Empire of the Sun star said:
“I’ve got to shave my head next week [for a movie]… I asked them to please let me hold off on doing that but everyone was going, ‘What’s wrong with Bale? What’s up with him?’ I said, ‘Just let me get through the groundbreaking and then I’ll be off to join you.”
While talking about his transformation, Bale expressed gratitude for working with the “wonderful” Maggie Gyllenhaal along with other talented cast members. The Reign of Fire star will be doing a lot of physical work to transform his body, and will also make changes in his diet. The remake currently has no title and since not much has been disclosed, other than cast members include Jessie Buckley, Annette Bening, Penelope Cruz, and Peter Sarsgaard.
