Deadpool 3 Star Ryan Reynolds Was Scared For His Life After Making a Huge Blunder in Denzel Washington’s Action Movie
In the 2012 film Safe House, it was Oscar winner Denzel Washington who caused Ryan Reynolds all kinds of trouble in this twisty action-thriller but in reality, it was the opposite as the Deadpool 3 star accidentally gifted Washington, two nasty black eyes during the filming of the action flick. But the veteran actor took the punches like a pro and politely told Reynolds he was fine.
Ryan Reynolds Recalls Fearing For His Career After Giving Denzel Washington Two Black Eyes
Ryan Reynolds starred in the 2012 film Safe House opposite Denzel Washington. Though the film was a modest success, there were moments during the making of the film when Ryan Reynolds accidentally gave Denzel Washington two black eyes and he’s still pretty embarrassed by it a decade later. Last year, Reynolds shared the incident on an episode of My Next Guest Needs No Introduction with David Letterman.
Recalling the events, the Deadpool 3 star said, “He and I are in this out-of-control car, and my corner of my head — I felt it hit his eye so hard I was sure that it split wide open.” The second time it happened again when “We did it again. I got the other eye, Dave,” he said. “For a minute he looked like a Christmas ornament.”
Reynolds felt in that moment, “I’m thinking I’m going to be sent home via crematorium — like, it’s over right now, this is it, not only my career but my actual pulse will cease,” He added, “Yeah, I wanted to die.” But Reynolds also revealed that Washington was gracious about it.
Deadpool 3: Everything to Know About Ryan Reynolds’ Movie
After 20th Century Fox was acquired by Disney, fans were highly speculative regarding the future of the Deadpool franchise. But now it is surely in the safe hands as Ryan Reynolds’ starrer Deadpool 3 is slated to make its MCU debut on May 3, 2024. While most of the cast members will be making their return for Deadpool 3, one of the most exciting news is that Wolverine has clawed his way into the scene which also means that Hugh Jackman will be reprising his role as Wolverine.
Deadpool 3 will also mark the first film in Phase 6 of the MCU and the film’s production has already begun in June this year. Some of the new faces joining the existing cast will be, The Crown star, Emma Corrin most likely in an antagonist role, and Succession fame, Matthew Macfayden. The film is supposedly going to take place prior to the events of the 2017 film, as Wolverine actually dies in Logan.
