Reality TV star Kim Kardashian and rapper Ray J’s infamous s*x tape leak was one of the biggest scandals that were witnessed. The tape has been brought to the spotlight again after Kim Kardashian spoke about it on her show The Kardashians. Reportedly, the rapper and Kim K both made huge profits after the release of the tape. The tape made over $100 million and both the parties have been receiving their respective shares. A source revealed how much the rapper made from the infamous tape.
Who Leaked Ray J and Kim Kardashian’s Tape?
Ray J recently gave an interview where he revealed who was behind the leak of his s*x tape with Kim Kardashian. He said that the person behind the leak was Kim K’s mother Kris Jenner. The reason behind the leak was stated to be “boosting Kim’s career”. Although, sources have come out to deny Ray J’s claims.
They claim that Jenner wasn’t behind the leak, but it was the couple. Reportedly, Kris Jenner never negotiated with the distributors of the s*x tape. Back in 2007, the rapper and Kim dealt with Vivid Entertainment, the distributors, themselves. It was also revealed that the release wouldn’t have been possible without both of their signatures. If the tape was released regardless, the distributors would’ve been in for a huge lawsuit.
How Much Ray J and Kim Kardashian Made From the Tapes
Kim Kardashian and Ray J’s infamous s*x tape is said to be the highest-grossing of all time. Sources revealed that Kim K and the rapper split $1 million in advance and also ended up getting 49% profits afterward. The tape generated about $100 million making their respective shares $49 million each. It was also reported that they still receive royalties of about $360,000 per year but neither party has yet confirmed it. Sources also revealed that,
“Kim sued Vivid before the tape was released but the lawsuit was reportedly dropped because she and Ray J ‘cut the deal they wanted.”

Kanye West Hellbent on Retrieving Second S*x Tape
In an episode from The Kardashians, Kim Kardashian’s estranged husband Kanye West meets Ray J. The objective of his rendezvous was to obtain a second s*x tape. Ray J’s manager claimed that he had a second tape and he threatened to leak it 15 years ago. Even though, recently the rapper revealed that a second tape never existed. He said that West met up with him to retrieve ‘intimate photos’ and ‘mini-videos’ that were taken during their relationship from 2002-2007. Kanye West and Kim Kardashian got divorced earlier this year.
