The 2024 WWE SmackDown kicked off with Dwayne Johnson making his grand entrance with Hollywood theme music. The Jumanji: Welcome To The Jungle actor treated the Memphis fans to a song while discussing the fate awaiting Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins at WrestleMania 40. Dwayne Johnson referred to Cody Rhodes’ RAW promo, targeting his mother Michelle Rubio. According to the viral clip, the wrestler-turned-actor pledged to present Cody Rhodes’ mother Michelle with his son’s blood-soaked weight belt. He mentioned-

“And with all the blood on your son’s belt and your tears on that belt, Rock is gonna whisper in your ears, he’s gonna wipe your tears away and he’s gonna say, Michelle, what can I say except you’re welcome.”

Fans erupted with excitement and went on to cheer like never before. However, this is not the first time Dwayne Johnson has targeted Mama Rhodes. As previously, The Rock took shots at Michelle Rhodes on social media. The post read as

“And then I’m gonna take this belt, Mama Rhodes, full of your son’s blood. And then I’m gonna hand it to you in front of the world. And I’m gonna say ‘Here you go, Mama Rhodes.’ You’re gonna be crying just like your son, just like all of his Cody Crybaby fans. Because you’re all a bunch of crybabies!… Give you this belt, Mama Rhodes. And I’m gonna say, ‘Mama Rhodes, here’s your belt. Now down is the direction you can sit. And I’m gonna look at your son, who’s gonna be in the middle of the ring, bleeding, crying.”

The next WWE SmackDown match will be held at Fiserv Forum, in Milwaukee on March 22, 2024. The most anticipated match is between Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes.

Dwayne Johnson On The Sequel Of Moana

During an interview with Entertainment Tonight at the WWE WrestleMania 40, Dwayne Johnson spoke about the second chapter of Moana. The 2016 fantasy drama is up for a sequel with a theatrical release date in November 2024. As reported by People, The Scorpion King actor said-

“It’s very exciting. I can’t wait for fans to see the film, the technology, the effects, cutting-edge. We all really went for it. We thought if we’re gonna make a sequel to something so beloved, let’s really go for it.”

Dwayne Johnson teased that fans can look forward to witnessing the liveliness of the blue ocean again. He mentioned-

“You also have the benefit and the beauty of the ocean. In Moana… the ocean is alive, so when the ocean has a heartbeat and a pulse, that’s just a whole different thing. I can’t wait.”

However, the production team of Moana is still undecided on whether Auli’i Cravalho will be coming back as the voice behind Moana or not. However back in May 2023, Auli’i Cravalho had clearly stated that she would not be voicing Moana in the live-action adaptation of the animated project. She said in a video statement on social media-

“I’m truly honored to pass this baton to the next young woman of Pacific Island descent, to honor our incredible Pacific people’s cultures and communities that help inspire her story. And I look forward to all the beautiful Pacific representations to come. Mahalo,”
