Hollywood hunk and superstar Tom Cruise is gearing up for the release of his highly-anticipated upcoming film Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One. Undoubtedly, the Mission Impossible movie franchise is known for its huge number of stunt scenes.
These include some of the most iconic and dangerous ones that were performed by Cruise himself. And recently it came to light that the upcoming film has arguably the most dangerous stunt in the actor’s whole career. The Knight and Day star recently opened up about his experience of pulling off the dangerous stunt.
Tom Cruise Talks About Performing The Most Dangerous Stunt of His Career
Recently Tom Cruise shared a lot of information on his upcoming film Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One. And the one thing that has been the center of the discussion is the stunt scene that Cruise pulled off this time which is said to be “arguably the most dangerous stunt of his career”.
The scene included Cruise jumping off a cliff while riding a motorcycle. When asked about how he prepared himself for such a step in an interview with ET, the 60-year-old star said,
“Either we’re going to continue with the film or not, Let’s know on day one!”
He further explained that whatever lay ahead of the stunt was going to decide the next step. Therefore it was a do-or-die decision for him. Moreover, Cruise added that he motorcycled from the time he was a kid which made the biking scene easier for him.
Apart from this, Cruise also shared that being a part of the franchise was a childhood dream come true for him. The film premiered at the Spanish Steps in Rome a day ago on the 19th of June.
A Brief Look at the Latest Mission Impossible Franchise Installment
Created by Bruce Geller, Mission Impossible film series is centered around the quests of an American spy named Ethan Hunt played by Tom Cruise. Hunt is a member of the Impossible Mission Force or IMF. The first film in the series came out back in 1996. And the last one came out in 2018 which is a prequel to the upcoming 7th installment of the franchise titled Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning part one.
This time Hunt and the IMF are tasked with tracking down a highly destructive weapon. And for the sake of the existence of the human race, Hunt must do anything he could to get hold of the said weapon. Mission: Impossible 7 is slated to release on 12th July 2023.
