Elemental Now Has the Honor of Lowest Box Office Opening for a Pixar Movie
Pixar has consistently been able to provide viewers with some wholesome characters and narratives since the beginning. Quality is one area where they have never compromised, as the stories are potent and successfully hit the correct note. Pixar has produced some of the most well-known animated series and films throughout the history of animation. The business has grown into a titan in the cartoon industry thanks to hits like Toy Story, The Incredibles, Finding Nemo, and others.
Each film of Pixar features meaningful and occasionally devastating storylines in addition to being visually stunning and having an original design. While the company is known for its hit and heart-touching movies, its new addition Elemental has been a disappointment. The film performed worst at the box office on the opening day, marking the lowest number in the modern history of the company.

Pixar’s Elemental performs worst at the box office on opening day
With some biggest releases in theaters, like The Flash and Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, Pixar, renowned for producing animated series and films, dropped Elemental. The movie about overcoming outward differences made its way into theaters disappointing fans. It performed badly at the box office, making a record being the lowest Pixar opening in history.
The company has produced hits like Toy Story and The Incredibles that have grossed a successful amount at the box office compared to Elemental. The new film was able to bring in $ 29.5 million on opening day domestically. The figure marked the worst-ever debut of any Pixar film. Elemental opened in just three major international markets and will expand to other countries in the coming weeks.
The company was hoping to bounce back from the box office failure of its 2022 release Lightyear, which tells the story of Toy Story protagonist Buzz Lightyear. The movie’s worldwide ticket sales came to a paltry $226.7 million, less than a quarter of Toy Story 4‘s $1 billion total. While it is too early to form a conclusion about Elemental, the opening figure clearly indicates a dark future.
