When talking about her family, the actress said, “I thought, ‘Oh, this is what I’m supposed to do right now.” The actress shares two kids, daughters Esmeralda and Amada, with actor Ryan Gosling.

Just one month after her statements about “not missing” acting, Eva Mendes gave her fans a subtle hint that she might be planning a comeback. In October 2022, Mendes posted a compilation of screenshots of all the media outlets that claimed that she quit acting. The actress wrote,
“I never quit acting. / I wanted to be home with my babies and fortunately my other business ventures allowed me to do that more than acting would. / Also, I was not excited about the stereotypical roles being offered to me at the time. Especially after working on the film LOST RIVER -that was a dream project. That’s a tough act to follow. / Whats the point of this post? To shift that narrative. / I never quit. ♥️”
In the post, Mendes explained that she quit acting to spend more time with her family. Undoubtedly, the actress has invested a lot of money in several business ventures that support her income.

During her appearance on Channel 9’s Today in Australia, the actress referred to Ryan Gosling as her “husband.” She said,
“Everyone is so welcoming here, and my husband, Ryan, is here, and we are having the best time.”
The two met in 2011 after working together in The Place Beyond the Pines. They instantly started dating and have been very private about their relationship. They share two daughters, seven-year-old Esmeralda Amada and six-year-old Amada Lee.
