Dwayne Johnson was initially a WWE superstar, also known as The Rock. His professional career has come a long way, and now the actor has an even more dedicated fanbase. Johnson started his acting career in 2001, and his first film was The Mummy Returns. Twenty-two years down the lane, The Rock has acted in more than 40 studio films and is currently tagged as one of the highest-paid actors in the world.
Many of his movies have made it to the billion-dollar club and are in the all-time highest-earning films list. This list will include some of his top films that touched the $700 million mark and above.
1. Furious 7
Though all the Fast and Furious films have delivered excellent performances, the top performer spot goes to Furious 7. The 2015 film had a strong star cast that included Dwayne Johnson and Vin Diesel, and it also marked the end of Paul Walker’s saga in the series and served as a final goodbye and tribute to the legendary actor. The film generated domestic earnings 0f $353 million and $1.15 billion overseas, bringing total global revenues to $1.52 billion.
2. The Fate Of The Furious
The Fate of the Furious, more commonly known as Fast and Furious 8, has Dwayne Johnson in the role of Luke Hobbs, who joins hands with the team to help save Dom. After its release, the film broke multiple box office records and, for a while, became the most significant global opening, only later to be replaced by Avengers: Infinity War. The film was a huge box office success and earned a worldwide total of $1.236 billion, against a production budget of $250 million.
3. Jumanji: Welcome To The Jungle
Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle was one of the most prominent surprise elements of 2017 and Dwayne Johnson was accompanied by Kevin Hart, Jack Black, Karen Gillan, and Nick Jonas. The film’s worldwide box office collection was $962 million.
4. Fast And Furious 6
A gem from the Fast and Furious franchise again grabs the next spot. Fast and Furious 6 saw the return of Dwayne Johnson as DSS agent Luke Hobbs. Released during Memorial Day weekend of 2013, the film had a global total earnings of $788 million.
5. Hobbs & Shaw
The first spin-off series from The Fast and The Furious franchise, Hobbs & Shaw, follows Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham as they reprise their roles of Luke Hobbs and Deckard Shaw. Already well-established, The Fast and The Furious franchise delivered another hit worth $758 million, and their action movie fans loved the spin-off too.
Some of his other high-earning movies are Moana ($643 million), Fast Five ($626 million), San Andreas ($473 million), The Mummy Returns ($447 million), and Rampage ($428 million). Dwayne Johnson and Jason Momoa starrer Fast X is the latest release from the Fast and Furious franchise, and the film is making good fortunes.
