“Everything fell apart”: Scarlett Johansson Reportedly Pissed at Blake Lively for Seducing Ryan Reynolds While He Was Married

Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively have been the it couple in Hollywood. By being happily married for over a decade, the pair has defied relationship norms in the entertainment industry. However, before finding love and happiness with the Gossip Girl alum, Reynolds was married to Marvel star Scarlett Johansson.

Johansson and Reynolds’ romance was quite short-lived. And allegedly, Lively is the possible reason for the split; and that’s not lost on Johansson.

Scarlett Johansson is Pissed with Blake Lively

Romance in Hollywood is always a hot topic. The time between action and cut of love scenes often starts being more meaningful to actors than they could have thought. Sometimes, they’re not even acting. The love and affection of those scenes eventually translate into their real lives.

Something of this sort happened when Ryan Reynolds met Blake Lively in 2010. Both stars were in relationships with other people when they played Hal Jordan and Carol Ferris. However, Lively and Reynolds found themselves single and dating each other only a year later.

Reynolds’ divorce from his then-wife, Scarlett Johansson came soon after Green Lantern was released. Even though neither of the stars confirmed it, assumptions of infidelity were made on Reynolds’s part.

Johansson allegedly blames Lively for her failed marriage with Reynolds. The Black Widow star reportedly feels that Lively “stole” her husband. As a source told the National Enquirer:

“She’s incredibly bitter about it. In a way, Scarlett feels like Blake stole Ryan Reynolds from her because it was when he started shooting Green Lantern with Blake in 2010 that everything fell apart.”

The source claimed that Reynolds’ marriage with Lively was not easy on Johansson:

“Ryan and Blake’s wedding has brought back much pain for Scarlett. She’s sure Blake deliberately seduced Ryan, even though she knew he was attached at the time.”

With the passage of time, one can only hope that Johansson’s wounds have healed.

A Look at the Stars’ Lives Since Then

The aforementioned sentiments were of the past. The Hitchcock actress might still harbor some resentment toward Lively, but she has certainly moved on.

Not long after her divorce from Reynolds, Johansson briefly dated famed actor Sean Penn. After her separation from Penn, Johansson dated and eventually married Frenchman Romain Dauriac, with whom the actress shares a daughter, Rose. The couple separated after a few years.

Johansson then met and soon married her current husband, SNL co-head writer Colin Jost, and gave birth to their son, Cosmo in 2021.

Reynolds and Lively have also been happily married for almost twelve years now. And they have four children together.
