The movie will be about two gargantuan monsters, Godzilla and Kong, who will have to team up to face a colossal threat that is bigger than any of them. It not only challenges the survival of these two Kaijus but also the survival of the human race. It will also delve deep into the mysteries and origins of these two ancient apes and the history of Skull Island.
A new Godzilla x Kong Location Might Bring The Missing Lion Titan Into The MonsterVerse Again
According to the Godzilla x Kong trailer, it is pretty established that the MonsterVerse is going to Egypt, which is home to an unseen yet confirmed MonsterVerse Titan. In the trailer, one can see Kong emerging from near a pyramid in Egypt, sporting a glove. In Godzilla: King of the Monsters, it was seen that Monarch Outpost 65, which is located in Cairo, Egypt, was monitoring a monster called Sekhmet. Based on legends and his whereabouts, Sekhmet is expected to have lion-like features.
In Egyptian mythology, Sekhmet is the goddess of healing who created the vast deserts of Egypt with her hot breath. In mythology, she looks like a humanoid with a lion’s head so it is not an out-of-the-box expectation for fans to imagine this monster’s likeness to a lion as well.
Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire is all set to release on March 29, 2024.
