‘Half his movies aren’t appropriate for kids’: Internet Divided as Adam Sandler Wins King of Comedy Award at 2023 Kids’ Choice Awards
It won’t be wrong to call Adam Sandler one of the undisputed kings of comedy that Hollywood has to offer. Having started his career with the television series, The Cosby Show in 1987, the 56-year-old has definitely come a long way. The Blended star has featured in a plethora of roles, arguably doing justice to all of them. But Sandler’s magic hasn’t waned. He continues to dominate the genre and is rightly in line for receiving the King of Comedy Award. But what has left fans in splits is the fact that he won the title at the Kids’ Choice Awards.
Adam Sandler is all set to claim the tag of King of Comedy
Adam Sandler is all set to receive the inaugural King of Comedy Award at the 2023 Kids’ Choice Awards. And he definitely has made a stake for the claim for that spot.

Boasting having earned more than $3 billion worldwide, the Big Daddy star is justified in being dubbed the King of Comedy.
To his credit, he has also played roles as a voice-over artist in animated films, including Hotel Transylvania. But there remains a fundamental question. Do Adam Sandler’s movies really cater to children? The answer is more likely to be negative.
Are Adam Sandler movies really appropriate for kids?
The cream of his movies includes romantic comedies. These movies include Uncut Gems, Punch-Drunk Love, Just Go With It, and Blended. And it is no secret that these movies consist of innumerable references to explicit content.
One of these movies is packed with references to c*ndoms. S*x is a plaything in these flicks as well and so is the sexualization of women. It is because of these that one can’t help but wonder that is the 50 First Dates actor really the right guy to be at the receiving end of a Kids’ Choice Award (despite him having 11).
The jury is still out on Adam Sandler
Twitter was looking for an answer to the same question. But what we’ve got here is a mixed bag.
A sizable section of fans has raised the contention that his movies aren’t even appropriate for kids.

It’s not like the comments are going to have a sway on the Award’s jury’s decision anyways, but it does give one something to think about.
