‘He Continues to Disgrace Himself’: Britney Spears on Father Accusing Her of Brutal Social Media Smear Campaign
Britney Spears’ conservator, her own father Jamie Spears, reportedly filed documents saying his recently wed daughter has been running a campaign against him that consists of an intense social media smear operation. The former conservator reportedly filed papers on Friday and wants Britney deposed so that he can receive acknowledged answers as to why during his tenure as conservator she allegedly had to give vials of blood for medical treatment, among other things including therapy and especially her claim that she needed pain medication but was denied it under his watch – after signing her rights over to Mr. Spears years earlier so the conservatorship would be possible.
“It Is A Foolish And Ill-Advised Filing” – Said Britney Spears’ Lawyer
In a recent statement, Britney Spears’ lawyer echoed that:
Mr. Spears, who was ignominiously suspended by the Court in September, continues to disgrace himself, especially through this most-recent foolish and ill-advised filing, which is riddled with errors and falsehoods, as he knows. In addition to trying to bully his own daughter, he is now pathetically reduced to trying to intimidate her, while abusing the legal process and running and hiding from his own deposition. Anyone else would be ashamed of these tactics, but he and his representatives are truly shameless. In terms of ‘impugning his character,’ Mr. Spears did that to himself long ago.
Matthew Rosengart, Spears’ lawyer also echoed that:
Despite his demonstrably false claims that he has ‘nothing to hide and would, therefore ‘hide nothing,’ James P. Spears has been running and hiding from his deposition and accounting for his misconduct — under oath — as required by law.
Spears Accused Her Father Of Conservatorship Abuse
The latest legal demands from Jamie’s end showed up almost after a year since the conservatorship ended. With that being said, Jamie, in December, demanded that Britney should pay his legal expenses. Britney Spears has frequently expressed public concern over the state of conservatorship established by her father in 2008, after a series of incidents in the mid-2000s that called the singer’s mental health into question.
With all being said, Britney inexplicably disappeared from Instagram only to reappear after her mother Lynne Spears came out in defense of her daughter. Her post, which consisted of an eye-roll emoji and a surprised face, was likely addressed to a controversial June 14 posting by Britney. The post detailed how Britney’s brother Bryan never received an invitation to their star-studded wedding.
