“He knew it was my first movie”: Keanu Reeves Made Sure His Female Co-star Had Everything to Recover From Injury While Shooting John Wick Chapter 4

His recent movie, John Wick: Chapter 4, has undoubtedly created a buzz among fans. The actor is known for his kind nature and easy-going personality. Recently, the 58-year-old actor got praised by his female co-star for his cool demeanour at work and humble nature. Indeed, he is one of the most adored Hollywood stars for a reason.

In a recent interview with USA Today, John Wick: Chapter 4 actor Rina Sawayama shared her experience of working in the film alongside Keanu Reeves. During the interview, the Hold the Girl singer praised her co-star Reeves for being kind to her and helping her throughout. The actress said,

“He was so sweet. Obviously, knowing it was my first role, he was just looking after me behind the scenes.”

Sawayama revealed that Reeves is not just a good actor but a nice person too. She explained that Reeves is not a person who does things for the camera, he is a humble person even behind the cameras. Further, the actress said, 

“He’s not a very showy person. He does things a lot behind the scenes to make sure everyone is feeling OK. So kind, and honestly, he can turn off the celebrity, which is a weird thing to say. You think someone like Keanu walking around on set has an air of celebrity around them constantly, but he’s just there to work. I didn’t feel intimidated at all.”

It is always necessary that the place you work makes you feel comfortable. With people like Reeves around you, every place feels like home.

How did Keanu Reeves help his co-star, Rina Sawayama?

Rina Sawayama shared that while she was training for John Wick 4, she faced a small injury that caused a strain in her back. At that time, Reeves helped her. She said,

“I threw out my back during the first week, and he made sure that everything was available for me to get better.” 

Sawayama is a Japanese-British artist who is renowned in the music industry for her albums like Hold the Girl and Sawayama.  She made her film debut with John Wick: Chapter 4. The actress will be seen as Akira Shimazu in the movie alongside Reeves.
