“He was the only person who ever loved me unconditionally”: Sinead O’Connor’s Life Became Nightmare before Her Death at 56 Due to Her Son’s Tragic Death
The whole music industry is currently mourning the death of the famous Irish singer, Sinead O’Connor. Connor has been acclaimed for her singing talents since the 90s when she got her first big hit with the release of Nothing Compares 2 U which was released back in 1990.
The singer has been praised for many of her albums including one of her latest songs, How About I Be Me? which was released in 2018. Now, we will not get to see the star again on stage after Connor’s family announced her passing in a statement. Previous to this, the Irish singer shared an emotional tweet about her teenage son who died by suicide.
Today, the mother of four’s family announced the singer’s passing away officially to the public.
“It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Sinead,” the singer’s family said. “Her family and friends are devastated and have requested privacy at this very difficult time.”
The news about the singer of Sean-Nós Nua came after the death of her 17-year-old teenage named, Shane who died 18 months back after escaping from the hospital while being on a suicide watch. It was reported that the singer was going through a lot of mental issues after her son’s death.
After Shane died, Connor’s management announced that the singer is taking a break from her career for grief about her loss and will not be singing for nearly a year. However, there is no update on the reasons behind the singer’s death.

While scrolling through Twitter and Sinead O’Connor’s tweet, many never imagined that it would be the last tweet of her life.
The singer behind Theology album shared an emotional clip where she shared about her mourning about her teenage son’s death.
Just a few days back, the singer paid tribute to her son where she shared,
“Been living as undead night creature since,” she continued. “He was the love of my life, the lamp of my soul. We were one soul in two halves. He was the only person who ever loved me unconditionally. I am lost in the bardo without him.”

The star shared that her life is feeling more like an ‘undead creature‘ and lonely after her son left her in January last year.

The singer of Throw Down Your Arms also shared a list of a few sad things which was dedicated to all of the mothers of suicidal children.

Condolences Pour In for Sinead O’Connor’s Passing

After announcing the passing away of the Irish singer, many celebrities and politicians shared their condolences.
Deputy Prime Minister Michael Martin shared his condolences for the passing away of the star. He also called her one of the “greatest icons” in the country.

One of her close associates, Fachtna Ó Ceallaigh who worked with her as her manager for four years shared all the struggles the singer faced after her success in 1990. Ceallaigh also added and shared that Connor was a really bold singer who had that uniqueness and always believed to make a new path for women in the music industry.
