“I already feel like he’s my son”: Gisele Bundchen Wanted Tom Brady’s Son With His Ex Bridget Moynahan To See Her As His Mom
You can’t have it all, as the saying goes, unless you’re Gisele Bundchen. The Brazilian model has appeared in runway shows, print ads, magazine covers, and a contract with Victoria’s Secret after relocating to New York to further her career.
Nicknamed ‘The Body’, Bundchen’s fit and tanned body introduced a new ‘It’ look in the modeling industry in the 1990s, taking the place of the heroin chic standard. The 42-year-old dated Leonardo DiCaprio for a while before moving on to former quarterback, Tom Brady.
The couple married in 2009 and share two children. Bundchen continued modeling while taking care of her family, appeared in a few films, wrote a best-seller, and started a number of charitable projects.
Gisele Bundchen may sound like a kind goddess leading a perfect life, but alas, she is also a human—albeit an absurdly attractive human. She was on cloud nine to have found love with football’s ‘golden boy’.
However, reality struck when Bridget Moynahan, Brady’s ex-girlfriend, announced that she was expecting his child (who was conceived just before the couple split up).
Her relationship with Moynahan, the mother of her ex-husband, Tom Brady’s oldest son (John ‘Jack’ Edward Thomas Moynahan), was brought up in 2009.

How Did Bridget Moynahan And Gisele Bundchen Get Along?
In a 2009 interview with Vanity Fair, Gisele Bündchen talked openly about her friendship with Tom Brady’s ex-wife, Bridget Moynahan. She was open and honest about how watching the two of them co-parenting their son together had helped her get through her own divorce from the NFL star.
The supermodel spoke about John ‘Jack’ Edward Thomas Moynahan, the child of Brady and Moynahan, saying that even though she “respect[s]” his biological mother, she “love[s] [him] the same way as if [he] were [hers].”
She continued:
“I already feel like he’s my son, from the first day.”
Although Bundchen probably believed her remarks were simply those of a loving stepmother, a backlash quickly followed because many people thought she went too far. The general public sympathized with the single mother, (Moynahan), and Bundchen’s private interview seemed to “rub salt in the wound”.
However, the Blue Bloods actress remained silent, and unnamed insiders told media outlets that the star was not happy. According to Moynahan’s friend, Bundchen was “disrespectful” and used her stepson to gain attention and publicity.
Gisele Bundchen Referred His Stepson As Her ‘Bonus Child’
Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen are still the subjects of one of the most well-known love stories in NFL history, despite getting divorced. Shortly after Bundchen and Brady began dating, The Devil Wears Prada actress made her pregnancy public. Naturally, Bundchen found it challenging to make the decision.
However, the Brazilian supermodel is a devoted co-parent to John Edward Thomas Moynahan, who is also known as Jack. Gisele Bundchen and Jack have remained close over the years, and they frequently spend time together with his other two siblings, Vivan, and Benjamin Brady.
Bundchen referred to Jack as a “bonus child” in a previous interview. After all, she had not anticipated having a child so soon into her relationship with Brady. Jack, who played a significant role in their blended family, continued to make Bundchen feel grateful.
“It wasn’t the ideal situation for anyone — there’s no manual to prepare you for that. But I’m so grateful for [Bridget]. I know this was hard, but I couldn’t imagine my life without [Jack]. I call him my bonus child.”
During the height of Brady and Bundchen’s separation, Moynahan garnered attention by posting a slightly cryptic quotation.
“Not everything is meant to be mended. Not all relationships are meant to last a lifetime.”
Despite this, Bundchen and Brady consistently gave their kids a top priority and made time for them in their hectic schedules.
