“I felt really bad for him”: Despite Being Married for Only Two Years Johnny Depp’s First Wife Was Horrified With Amber Heard
Johnny Depp’s and Amber Heard’s legal battle can be coined as one of the most controversial and highly publicized divorce cases ever to happen in Hollywood. Before Heard entered his life and any of his other lovers crossed his path, he was formally married to Lori Anne Allison.
When the defamation trial was brought in, Allison did not remain silent for her former spouse; along with Vanessa Paradis and Winona Ryder, she also defended Depp and expressed her shock and disdain at Heard’s “horrific” actions.
Despite, a short-lived marriage, Lori Anne Allison is empathetic for Johnny Depp
Johnny Depp‘s first wife, Lori Anne Allison, was happy for Depp after he won the defamation battle against Amber Heard. Even though their marriage was short-lived, Allison’s empathy for Depp grew stronger as she witnessed the extreme pain and betrayal he suffered throughout the turbulent relationship with Heard.
Allison, in an interview with Popcorned Planet, shared her opinion about the legal battle between Depp and Heard. In the interview, host Andy Signore asked Allison about her feelings when “she who shall not be named,” referring to Heard, brought up her allegations against Depp.
“I had met her before. I mean, I had been to parties at his house, and she seemed really nice. And she was gorgeous, and what’s not to love? But as the time went by and I would hear things about her—she who shall not be named—he didn’t seem so happy all the time. I didn’t see him a lot, so I can’t really say.”
Lori Anne Allison condemns Amber Heard’s actions as ‘absolutely horrific’
“I’m no angel; I’ve done my share of s—ty things to people, but what she did was absolutely horrific. And if there were things that I could do to her that were legal, I would do them. I would, and I think it would’ve killed him—well, maybe not—but it just broke my heart that somebody could do that to him.”
Allison also asserted that she was anxious about the progress of the trial and would call Depp’s friend Isaac Baruch, who testified on his behalf, to inquire about the proceedings. Baruch would guarantee her, saying, “We’re going to win this”. Despite his reassurance, Allison was concerned about Depp’s well-being.
Lori Anne Allison introduced Johnny Depp to Hollywood
Depp and Allison tied the knot in 1983 in South Florida, where Depp was only 20 and Allison was 25. Their relationship existed all before Depp’s rise to fame. The couple met in a band called The Kids, which was started by the actor, and Allison was the sister of the band’s bassist.
