Following the announcement, Consueslos took to Instagram to express his feelings on the decision. He jokingly shared about “getting paid” to talk to his wife. According to him, it was not an easy decision to drop out of the show after 6 years. The radio personality also mentioned his future venture about taking up hosting on American Idol. His co-host Kelly Ripa also expressed showed her support for his decision and called him “one of her best friends”. As for the replacement, Ripa decided to take up her husband because there s no other that she could see as being capable at the moment.
