During an appearance on the media outlet WIRED’s Autocomplete Interview in 2021, The Scorpion King actor was present with Emily Blunt. The actor duo had to answer the most searched questions on the internet about them. Dwayne Johnson went on to answer about his first job and the revelations were beyond imagination. He said-

“My legit first job I was 13 years old and I worked in a pizza shop and washed dishes….I only, as a matter of fact…I don’t use a dishwasher…I hand wash everything.”

Switching careers when you are at the top of your game can be risky. Dwayne Johnson was introduced into the world of light, camera, and action in 2002. The former wrestler was already a popular figure in the realm of wrestling. During an interview with the media outlet Cinemablend in 2022, the Jumanji star spoke about his decision to switch from wrestling to acting. He mentioned that despite being a famous wrestler he was nervous about his acting career. He was only 29 when he got his first project from the multi-million dollar franchise The Mummy. He said-

“Even though I wrestled for 20-50,000 people, I wanted it to feel intimate and the connection to feel real. So, I found my power space in professional wrestling and when I had a goal to transition into acting, I knew then as I was transitioning into.”

He further added-

‘When I was 29 making The Scorpion King, I knew then that in order for me to be a good actor and to have a career that had real longevity, and not just in it for 2-3 years, become this hot new actor, make a couple of action movies, maybe a comedy or two and then disappear, I didn’t want that.”

Dwayne Johnson has been associated with some of the best franchises in Hollywood like Fast And Furious, Jumanji, Baywatch, and DC’s Black Adam. The actor went on to achieve massive recognition within a very short period of time in Hollywood.
