Matt Damon can risk everything for a Christopher Nolan movie
Matt Damon is a well-established actor who maintains a contented family life, having been in a committed relationship with his partner for over a decade since their marriage in 2005. According to ET Online, his wife, Luciana Barroso, is someone who has no relation to Hollywood. They met at a bar in Miami, where they made their first connection. They started dating in 2003, and they got married in 2005. Barroso supported Damon as his fame grew, often accompanying him on red-carpet appearances. Barroso and Damon are still together and closer than ever these days.
Damon is one of the actors who believes it’s fortunate to work with well-known filmmaker Christopher Nolan. He recently played the role of General Leslie Groves in his latest film, Oppenheimer. He is even ready to drop all the projects just to be a part of Nolan’s film.
According to People, in a therapy session with his wife, he promised Barroso that he would be taking a break from acting unless he got a call from Nolan. Both of them understand the need for communication in relationships, and they used to attend therapy to work things out between them. Damon respects his wife’s opinion and wants to keep their relationship strong.
“I negotiated in couples therapy—this is a true story—that the one caveat to my taking time off was if Chris Nolan called. This is without knowing whether or not he was working on anything because he never tells you. He just called you out of the blue. And so, it was a moment in my household.”
