“I would love to get to do more”: Hayden Christensen isn’t Leaving Star Wars Anytime Soon
Hayden Christensen recently expressed great enthusiasm for reprising his career-defining Star Wars role as Anakin Skywalker and Darth Vader in Disney’s ongoing projects. Seventeen years after last playing the fallen Jedi in Revenge of the Sith, Christensen made a heralded return alongside Ewan McGregor in Obi-Wan Kenobi on Disney+. For Christensen, returning to Star Wars has been thoroughly exciting and an absolute privilege based on his comments. When asked about coming back as Anakin/Vader, Hayden Christensen could barely contain his enthusiasm.
“Any opportunity to get to do more with this character is thoroughly exciting for me,” he told EW.
Despite enduring criticism for his prequel performances years ago, Christensen seems overjoyed to reprise this career-defining role.
Getting to portray a new side of Vader in Ahsoka was a “gift” for Christensen. He called reading the World Between Worlds scripts a “giddy little boy” moment. For fans, seeing him inhabit an older, wiser version of the character while mentoring Ahsoka was a long-awaited wish fulfilled.

“There was no mention of my involvement.”

“I would love to get to do more,” Christensen reiterated,
calling playing Anakin/Vader again “awesome.”
