The Exposed star once told Variety that she found the unwanted media’s focus on certain aspects of her life, like her relationships, to be quite “unsettling.” She stated, “I have never been someone who wants any attention that is not about my work,” in reference to the excessive attention she received after she began dating The Town actor. Therefore, when the focus is not on the work, it is upsetting, feels disrespectful, feels out of place, and feels “dangerous and unsafe.”
The two actors dated for almost a year in all of 2020 before breaking up in January 2021. At the time, a source claimed that Armas ended the relationship because she didn’t want to live in Los Angeles and Affleck wanted to stay with his children. The actress responded to a question about the attention on her and Affleck’s relationship by calling the scrutiny “horrible” while sitting down for an interview with ELLE US for her August 2022 cover.

She added, “There’s no escape. There’s no way out. It’s always the feeling of something that you don’t have, something missing. It’s a city that keeps you anxious.”
However, a different source told People that the breakup was amicable. They are at different stages of their lives, but they share a deep love and respect for one another. Affleck wants to keep improving himself.
After they broke up, the Yesterday star reportedly relocated to New York City where she now lives with her Tinder executive boyfriend, Paul Boukadakis. The Justice League actor, on the other hand, got back together with Jennifer Lopez, his first love.
