Robert De Niro Welcomed Baby No. 7 at 79
Robert De Niro feels good at becoming a father at the age of 79 as he recently confirmed the birth of his baby no. 7. During the New York premiere of his upcoming film, About My Father, De Niro told Extra, “I’m ok with it. I’m good with it.” The actor added, “Though it never gets easier.”
Though the identity of his seventh child’s mother is still under wrap, he confirms the news in his recent interview after becoming a proud dad again. Recently, in a candid interview with ET Canada, the legend revealed how he feels after becoming a father for the seventh time with his rumored girlfriend, Tiffany Chen.
The King of Comedy star corrected the journalist who asked Robert De Niro about his six children by saying he has seven now. Talking about his parenting skills, the actor said,
“I mean, there’s no way around it with kids. I don’t like to have to lay down the law and stuff like that. But, [sometimes] you just have no choice. And any parent, I think, would say the same thing. You always want to do the right thing by the children and give them the benefit of the doubt, but sometimes you can’t.”
Robert De Niro then revealed that he doesn’t consider himself a cool dad and said,
“I’m okay, you know, my kids disagree with me at times, and they’re respectful. My daughter, she’s 11, she gives me grief sometimes, and I argue with her. I adore her, but, you know. And my youngest now, that’ll be more to come. But that’s what it is.”
Robert De Niro shares two kids with his first wife, Diahnne Abbott, daughter Drena and son Raphael. In 1995, the Once Upon a Time in America star welcomed twins Julian and Aaron with his former flame Toukie Smith. He also shares son Elliot and daughter Helen Grace with his former wife, Grace Hightower.
