‘It was obviously heartbreaking on so many levels’: Armie Hammer’s Estranged Wife Elizabeth Chambers Left Devastated After Watching ‘House of Hammer’ Docuseries
American TV personality Elizabeth Chambers recently talked about her relationship with actor Armie Hammer. Elizabeth Chambers filed for divorce from Armie Hammer in July 2020 after being married for 10 years. The two share two children, Ford, 5, and Harper, 7. Last year, Armie Hammer’s cannibal scandal came into the limelight as two women revealed the conversations they had with him. On top of that, many audio messages, and screenshots were shared on social media that accused the actor of emotional abuse, manipulation, and violence. A three-part docuseries surrounding the lives of the actor and his family tree called House of Hammer was also released on Discovery+ recently.
Elizabeth Chambers said she is “in a really good place”
Elizabeth Chambers revealed in a Q&A session with E! News that her divorce from Armie Hammer is still not finalized and the two are in a really good place. She said,
“Our divorce is not finalized. But we are in a really great place. We talk all the time. We’re committed fully and wholly to our children, and to being together as much as possible in a non-romantic way for our kids. Kids need their mom; kids need their dad. So there’s nothing we won’t do.”
She made it clear that she is still in touch with the actor and the two are fulfilling their duties as parents. They share two children, Ford, 5, and Harper, 7.
Armie Hammer is currently in rehab
Elizabeth Chambers further revealed that the actor is “healing” in rehab. Robert Downey Jr. has also been financially supporting the Call Me by Your Name star. Following their split, she faced a lot of issues raising her children as Armie Hammer was still recovering. She said,
“Armie has been focused on his healing. There’s the oxygen mask theory: You can’t really take care of someone until you are taken care of. There’s a reason on the plane they say, ‘Secure your own mask before helping others.’ He has been very busy securing his own mask. My mask has been secured, [the kids’] masks are on, so right now it’s really been a lot about focusing on them, protecting them.”
The BIRD Bakery founder is now dating a new mystery man as she recently posted pictures with him on her Instagram.
Elizabeth Chambers addressed the new docuseries
She explained that she initially avoided the Discovery+ docuseries, House of Hammer, but ultimately watched it. House of Hammer reveals the true history of Armie Hammer, his great grandfather Armand Hammer, uncle Julian Hammer, and father Michael Hammer. The actor’s aunt, Casey Hammer, plays an important role in the docuseries as she reveals a lot of information about her family. Elizabeth Chambers talked about the docuseries,
“It was obviously heartbreaking on so many levels and very painful. But at the same time, it exists. The past is the past and all we can do is take this as a moment to learn and listen, and hopefully process and heal in every capacity.”

She noted that it was surprising but she already expected it. The docuseries featured Armie Hammer’s ex Courtney Vucekovich and some of his other alleged victims who talked about their traumatic experiences.
