“It’s a little weird to see your mom kiss someone”: Jennifer Garner Claims Her Kids With Ben Affleck Hate Watching Her Movies, Get Disgusted by Her Intimate Scenes
Ben Affleck is a juggernaut whose acting skills are unparalleled. The Academy Award-winning actor has an impressive filmography record, which includes Good Will Hunting, Batman v Super: Dawn of Justice, and The Way Back among many others. Before tying the knot with his 90’s sweetheart Jennifer Lopez in 2022, Affleck was married to actress Jennifer Garner.
The former couple first met on the set of Pearl Harbor and became good friends. Garner and the Triple Frontier actor got married in 2005 and announced the news of their separation in 2018. The couple shares three children Violet Anne and Seraphina Rose Elizabeth and Samuel Garner. In a recent interview, Jennifer Garner revealed that her kids don’t like to watch her movies but they do watch their father Ben Affleck’s movies.
Jennifer Garner Reveals Her Kids Aren’t Interested In Watching Her Movies
Jennifer Garner is a phenomenal actress. She has been featured in many big films like Catch Me If You Can, 13 Going On 30, and Daredevil. The actress was previously married to Ben Affleck. Recently, Garner shared that her kids don’t watch her movies. They don’t like to watch her cry or kiss someone on the big screen. She, on the other hand, doesn’t want them to watch her upcoming AppleTV+ series The Last Thing He Told Me inspired by the novel by Laura Grace.
Garner said,
“My kids don’t love to watch me in things. They do to be supportive, but I think it’s a little weird to watch your mom kiss someone or cry. It’s different.”
She continued,
“They don’t mind watching their dad. They don’t want to see me sad, and they don’t want to see me in a romance. They don’t love seeing me play someone else’s mom, honestly. I don’t know if they’ll watch this.”
Jennifer Garner also claimed that, while she doesn’t want them to watch her show her 14-year-old daughter Seraphina read the book The Last Thing He Told Me with her.
The Ghosts of Girlfriends Past actress said,
“I loved, loved, loved the book. I read it aloud with my middle child at bedtime and we could not stop. It pushed bedtime later and later because the book has this super-propulsive quality, really driven by two things: life-and-death stakes that keep shifting when you least expect it, everything turns on a dime again and again and again.”
The Last Thing He Told Me, starring Jennifer Garner, will be released on Friday, April 14, 2023.
Jennifer Garner Says It Was Difficult For Her To Play Hannah In The Last Thing He Told Me
Jennifer Garner is perhaps one of the greatest actresses in Hollywood. She is extremely talented and her filmography is filled with iconic roles. In an interview, the actress discussed her new upcoming series and how she played Hannah in The Last Thing He Told Me. The former wife of Ben Affleck opened up about the role she will be playing in the titular series.
Jennifer Garner explained,
“It was very difficult for me to play a character who’s not maternal at all. I’ve played a mom quite a bit and that is actually lovely, because it’s very easy to slip into mothering some awesome young actor, and then you build a relationship under it so at the end, you’re quite close.”
The actress continued,
“Angourie Rice and I were almost adversarial at the beginning of the series. And we had to build trust, a partnership, and become a team — whether we liked it or not — until we were legitimately close. It was nice to have our real relationship build slowly over time, that our trust built over time just like Hannah and Bailey.”
Garner added,
“It’s a very vulnerable thing to go out there and put yourself out there. But I took very seriously readers’ feelings about Hannah and I included my own in there. I couldn’t love Hannah Hall more or admire her more as a person, so I did everything I could to hew as closely to the book as I possibly could.”
With an awesome filmography record, Jennifer Garner is no ordinary mom. However, her kids’ aversion to her watching movies with intimate scenes is understandable. Nevertheless, they sure would be proud of their mother’s achievements, even though they might be disgusted by many of the scenes in her movies.
