‘It’s like Hitler getting a barber shop’: Taika Waititi Including Thanos’ Infinity Gauntlet in Thor: Love and Thunder Was Tone Deaf and Senseless Fan-Service
The article might contain spoilers ahead as it may contain a few easter eggs and information that you might have missed in the movie.
Thor: Love and Thunder brought the reunion of Dr. Jane Foster and Thor Odinson in a very unexpected way. With that, the movie also brought a few references from the past MCU movies that worked as a fan service. An ice cream shop themed after Thanos’s gauntlet-holding ice cream cone was shown in the movie. However, few fans believed Thor: Love and Thunder Infinity Gauntlet ‘s reference was tone-deaf and senseless.

Thor: Love and Thunder’s Taika Waititi reference to Infinity Gauntlet in the movie
Amidst the positive reviews, Taika Waititi is receiving backlash for making it more like a comedy movie and less like an unusual MCU movie. The recent MCU projects have highlighted various issues in society that Marvel could not bring out in the previous movies. Interestingly, Thor: Love and Thunder also showed Valkyrie’s love preferences that Marvel could not show in its previous movies.
A fan lashed at Taika Waititi and said “just accepting literally every single thing taika throws at you” while referring to that the MCU fans would accept anything the director shows in the movie.
Y'all have gotten used to just accepting literally every single thing taika throws at you for absolutely no reason whatsoever

A fan reminded us that this was the same gauntlet that Iron Man used to save the world and bring back half of the world’s population. “Anything celebrating that would use Stark’s gauntlet.”
Abusing my blue check to get a reply high in the mentions that reminds folks (and apparently a lot need reminding) that while yes, the stones also were used to save/return half the world’s population, THIS gauntlet did not. Anything celebrating that would use Stark’s gauntlet.

What made fans trigger?
According to a few fans, the Infinity Gauntlet reference acted like cheap humor that disrespects Asgardian sacrifices and Loki’s death. Thanos’s Infinity Gauntlet removed half a population of the world in a snap and its reference did not have a warming reception in Thor: Love and Thunder.
Thor: Love and Thunder starring Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, and Christain Bale is now running in theatres.
