Since filming personal sequences with co-stars is par for the course in the movie business, Jennifer Lopez is accustomed to doing them. But she made sure that her ex-husband was not permitted to see such intimate moments. Jennifer Lopez, a singer, and actress, forbade her ex-husband Marc Anthony from visiting her when they were filming intimate scenes for The Back-Up Plan. Lopez portrayed a lady who uses artificial insemination to have twins, only to run into the love of her life the very next day.

What Jennifer Lopez Had to Say About This

Lopez’s 2010 feature The Back-Up Plan was a romcom that teamed the singer up with love interest Alex O’ Loughlin. The movie was right up Lopez’s alley at the time and dealt with a woman who decided to be a single mom. Lopez found herself as a fairly new parent herself and related to her character on a personal level.

With Loughlin playing her love interest, the two would engage in a few intimate love scenes for their movie. But they were scenes she didn’t want her husband at the time, Marc Anthony, to see. According to reports, Lopez banned Anthony from the film set as a result. She said,

I didn’t want to torture the poor guy. He shouldn’t be watching when I’m seducing another man on a kitchen table. Personally, I don’t like doing love scenes at all, because they make me feel uncomfortable.”

However, the actress wasn’t too nervous about baring her body on-screen since she was happy with her post-pregnancy figure.

What Was The Back-Up Plan All About?

Despite having very little physical nudity and a rather chaste plot, The Back-up Plan is a romantic comedy that addresses s*x and pregnancy head-on.

What’s the Story?

Zoe (Jennifer Lopez), the proprietor of a pet shop in New York, wants a child but can’t seem to find “Mr. Right.” She turns to her fallback strategy—artificial insemination—fearing that time is slipping away from her. Later on the same day, she meets cheese maker Stan (Alex O’Loughlin), who ends up being “the one.” When Zoe learns she is pregnant and Stan learns about it, they had already fallen in love. Stan must learn to cope with the shock of being a father overnight, and Zoe must learn to have faith in Stan’s commitment to staying.

The cast of Alan Poul’s film is made up of paper-thin characters, and their trip together is completely formulaic and predictable.

Why Did Jennifer Lopez And Marc Anthony Divorce?

Jennifer Lopez was seriously involved with actor and singer Marc Anthony. The couple, who are parents to twins Max and Emme, divorced after seven years of marriage. But what went wrong? In a W Magazine interview, Lopez disclosed that she experiences panic attacks. She revealed that this fear made her decision to end her relationship with Anthony, whom she divorced in 2011.

In 2004, Lopez wed Anthony. The Boy Next Door star claimed that their relationship had begun as “passionate” and “explosive,” but she also acknowledged that Anthony was a rebound after her breakup with Ben Affleck.

In her book, True Love, she wrote:

Marc came back into my life three days after I should have been at the altar saying ‘I do’ to another man. Thinking back, maybe deep down I knew that this was a Band-Aid on the cut, that my wound hadn’t been stitched or healed. But I pushed all that to the back of my mind.”

Lopez, however, reportedly convinced herself that her marriage with the Live my life singer would work in the long term. “When I married Marc, having already been through the disappointment of two divorces and a broken engagement, I wanted so much for our marriage to be ‘it’,” Lopez added.

But despite their best efforts, the couple discovered after seven years of marriage that their relationship was not working, eventually leading to divorce.
