Jonathan Majors’ Romance With Girlfriend Meagan Good is Not a Secret Anymore As He Shows up at Court Over His Assault Case
The ongoing assault case involving Marvel actor Jonathan Majors was heard on a Tuesday morning in the Lower Manhattan Criminal Court in New York City. After a brief proceeding, the judge, Rachel S. Pauley, set a trial date.
Meagan Good, an actress, and Majors were seen holding hands as they entered and left the court together. Meagan Good is Majors’ girlfriend. The case involving Majors, who was enjoying the success of his films when they made headlines almost three months ago, involves accusations of assault and aggravated harassment. Majors was expected to play a significant part as an evil character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Jonathan Majors’ assault and aggravated harassment trial to begin in August
After brief proceedings at the Manhattan Criminal Court in New York City, Judge Rachel S. Pauley announced that Jonathan Majors’ trial for assault and aggravated harassment would begin on August 3rd.
The Judge also informed Majors that he must continue to abide by a protection order which bars him from contacting the accuser and warned him that a warrant could be issued for his arrest if he does not show up for his trial date.
If the actor is convicted, he could be sentenced to up to a year in jail. He appeared by video at a hearing last month where prosecutors said they were revising the assault charge to reflect the accuser’s perspective. A police officer’s account was used in the original version.
Attorney Priya Chaudhry for Majors has continued to refute the allegations, saying that they are all untrue, and has even accused the police and prosecutors of discriminating against the Black Majors because of his race. She claimed that when Majors attempted to display the injuries to the officer that he claimed the woman had caused, a white police officer got in his jaw and taunted him.
Jonathan Majors’ arrest shook the world
Back in March, the headlines about Majors being arrested after police received a 911 call from a Manhattan apartment where a woman told the officers that she had been assaulted shook the entire world. The actor was later arrested on multiple charges including assault and aggravated harassment.
The woman was the actor’s then-girlfriend, Grace Jabbari, who said that the actor allegedly assaulted her in a car in Chinatown on March 25th, 2023 that incident, he broke her finger and lacerated her ear. Jonathan Majors’ lawyer Priya Chaudhry, however, released a statement denying all the accusations against the actor.
She wrote, “We have proof that this is a complete lie” and went on to detail a trove of defense eyewitness interviews, phone records, credit card statements, and hours of surveillance and police body-camera video. After Tuesday’s appearance at the Courthouse, the attorney released a statement for the District Attorney.
Chaudhry said, “We strongly request the District Attorney dismiss all charges against Mr. Majors immediately and initiate proceedings against Ms. Jabbari, holding her accountable for her crimes. While we are hopeful that the District Attorney is reviewing these materials in good faith and will do the right thing soon, to accelerate our case, we’ve requested a trial date ASAP.”
Majors’ legal team has refuted all accusations of wrongdoing and released text messages and videos that they claim show the actor is innocent. The woman stressed that she told police “this was not an attack” in one text exchange with Majors, which has not been independently verified. She also wrote, “I told them it was my fault for trying to grab your phone.”

Actress Meagan Good and the actor’s friendship turned into a romantic relationship as she helped him amid his assault charges and their appearance in court may prove it right.
A source shared, “Meagan has shown considerable support towards him. It seems their relationship has developed further from that point.” It was stated that they have been friends for a while now and the actor feels happy that he has someone beside him supporting him.
After nine years of marriage, Good and her ex-husband DeVon Franklin divorced in December 2021. Just one week after what would have been their tenth wedding anniversary, they announced their separation at the time and then finalized their divorce in June 2022.
Following the allegations, Majors was fired by both his management, Entertainment 360, and his PR team at the Lede Company. WME is still the agent for Majors.
