Katee Sackhoff teases the return of Pedro Pascal, starring in The Mandalorian Season 4

The Mandalorian is without any question one of the highly popular and successful television series created by Jon Favreau starring Pedro Pascal as Din Djarin/ The Mandalorian. The series first premiered in 2019 and instantly garnered the attention of the audience, making the show one of the favorites for the audience.

Actress Katee Sackhoff, who plays Bo-Katan Kryze on the show, is one of the favorite characters on the show and recently teased to her fans that she is excited to return to work as the SAG-AFTRA strike concluded after 118 days. She took to her social media to share a picture of herself in a wig with ginger hair and headband, which is how Bo-Katan Kryze wears her hair on the show. She wrote,

“I can’t wait to be home but also put this wig on again.”

The actress made her first appearance on the show in Season 2 as Bo-Katan Kryze, whom she had played in The Clone Wars and Rebels and quickly rose to have a prominent role on the show in Season 3.

According to CBR, Jon Favreau had confirmed the news that season four of the show was under development before the SAG-AFTRA strike began. He shared with French TV station BFM TV;

“I’ve written it already. We have to know where we’re going to tell a fully formed story. We had mapped it out, Dave [Filoni] and I, and slowly you start to write each episode. I was writing it during post-production. All of it has to feel like a continuation and one full story.”

The tease from the actress comes off as happy news for the fans, especially when it is still unclear if Pascal would appear on the show or not, as he had mentioned back in June that the character has become more of a voiceover than a physical. He had also expressed his opinion on Bo-Katan taking over in Season 3 and said he had no issues with it.

Pedro Pascal’s focus on Gladiator 2 and The Last of Us as the SAG- AFTRA strike ends

The actor who has risen to prominent fame by starring in projects including The Mandalorian, and The Last of Us is now focusing on and prioritizing his work accordingly as the SAG-AFTRA strike concludes. According to Collider, Pascal’s focus at the moment is Ridley Scott’s Gladiator 2, which began filming in the summer of 2023 in Malta and he plays the character of Lucius, a grown-up nephew of Commodus played by Joaquin Phoenix in the original movie.

The Last of Us’ filming will reportedly begin in early 2024 in which he stars alongside Bella Ramsey, which means that the actor will have to finish the filming of Gladiator 2 as soon as possible if he does not want any more delays with The Last of Us.

The update comes as a disappointing one for the fans of the show as it could delay the release of season two. There have been no talks about Pascal and The Mandalorian season four as of now.

The Last of Us is currently available for streaming on Max as The Mandalorian is streaming on Disney+.
