Although the makeup mogul has been in several controversies, almost killing her fame, she makes it out of those controversies in no time. Habituated with the cancel culture, Kim Kardashian yet again makes headlines. The viral trend including the handwritten sign “Kim Kardashian ruined my life” has recently gained approximately 50B views.

Although the origin of the trend is unknown and the veracity of the story behind it is questionable, the trend is gaining millions of views each day. However, digging a little deeper it has been discovered from TikTok itself, the person behind the poster is David Liebensohn. Pointing a finger at Kardashian, Liebensohn is the original author of Kimoji. 

Now the story gets interesting as we dive deep into the alleged controversy dating back to 2015 when the 42-year-old released Kimoji. Quick to mention, the entire concept took 2 years to make to reality therefore dating back to 2013, the alleged victim, Liebensohn shared his version.

David Liebensohn Vs Kim Kardashian Controversy 

David Liebensohn claims to be the author of Kimoji, the app that includes gifs and emojis of Kim Kardashian’s face. Although the app was released in 2015, the story dates back to 2013. That’s when Kim Kardashian and Kris Jenner began communicating with Liebensohn by meeting him in Calabasas to discuss the idea of Kimoji and the issues related to it. Further finalizing the app production through verbal agreement, Liebensohn started working on the project.

Soon he got a call from Kardashian’s legal team asking him to register the app and speed up the process, however, he found out the trademark was already registered without his name. Witnessing the fraudulence, the victim sued Kardashian for $100M in 2019, presenting evidence of his credibility. However, claiming the evidence “false and absurd” Kardashian’s lawyers countersued Liebensohn for $300M forcing him to withdraw the case.

Thereafter Kardashian and Jenner sought $400,000 as compensation for legal harassment, which bankrupted the man to lose his family and wife. Living in a car and doing two jobs to pay the ransom, Liebensohn allegedly launched the website Kimkardashianruinedmylife.com to discuss his situation.
