Lady Gaga Sets the Stage on Fire With a Homage of Michael Jackson
Singer-songwriter-actress Lady Gaga, or Stefani Joanne Angelina Germaotta, is one of the most versatile artists in the industry. She is not only known for her out-of-the-box looks but also for being one of the best-selling artists in the world. Her non-profit organization, Born This Way Foundation, supports the wellness of young people.
Gaga ventured into introducing a vegan cosmetic brand, Haus Labs, in 2019. The Grammy Award-winning artist is also an exceptional actress who has appeared in movies including A Star Is Born and House of Gucci and will now appear in Joker 2. Her concert movie, Gaga’s Chromatica Ball, was recently released, and her fans cannot stop praising her for paying homage to one of the biggest, beloved and everyone’s favorite artist.

Filmed in front of more than 52,000 people during her Chormatica Tour 2022 at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles, the long-awaited Gaga’s Chromatica Ball was directed by the artist herself. According to EW, there are no documentary-style behind-the-scenes segments in the concert movie, but it is indeed a strong highlight for one of the most immersive and elaborately designed tours.
Lady Gaga appeared at the intimate premiere of the movie on Saturday at Nya Studios in Hollywood, and during a Q&A session with Scott Evans, the artist shared (via IndieWire)
The intention for the Chromatica Ball actually changed. When I initially made this album, I was thinking about everything at that moment. And after what happened in the world, this tour became about something much bigger than just one record. I realized that our community is so strong and our community is so beautiful. And I have been saying that the Chromatica Ball and this album were, in a lot of ways, the end of a time in my life and the beginning of a totally new one.
Towards the end of the concert movie, fans noted that not only does Lady Gaga pays homage to the King of Pop, Michael Jackson, by dancing to the same choreography as Edge of Glory but also surprises everyone with an announcement. A clip has gone viral with the artist dancing to the choreography side-by-side the late artist. After the singer makes her way off the stage, a clip of her new song plays over footage of her singing Dance in the Shadow of the Night, and the words LG7 and Gaga Returns appear on screen. This hinted her upcoming music album.

I felt like Chromatica Ball was a time when I took myself to the next level, and it was something worth documenting and seeing for people that I love. Not that I didn’t love my other tours; it’s just… I’m sure we all can relate to that feeling when you personally feel proud of something, which is really different from when everyone around you feels that way.
The artist added that personal passion is really kind of a private experience, adding that she hopes that people should know that with Chromatica Ball, she stands in front of them with everything she has. Lady Gaga spent countless hours in the editing room bringing her vision for the movie to life, noting that it’s a gift from her to her fans.
Lady Gaga donned an all-black look that she later shared on social media with the caption that she would have worn that outfit to this year’s Garden of Time Met Gala theme. The gown was designed by Aziz Rebar and looked gorgeous.
