Lindsay Lohan Reportedly Dated Late Actor Heath Ledger at the Time of His Death, Was Left Inconsolable After The Dark Knight Star’s Accidental Death
The Disney star, Lindsay Lohan has had a controversial history especially when it comes to dating. The reason behind it is quite simple, an exclusive list containing 36 names of her famous lovers allegedly written by the actress herself. That list got world exposure when it was published in In Touch Weekly‘s latest issue. One of the names on that list was the late actor, Heath Ledger.
The actress rose to prominence back in 1998 through her iconic role in the Disney family comedy The Parent Trap. She went on to become a teen icon in the early 2000s with her roles in the cult classics like Freaky Friday and Mean Girls. She had been linked with many high-profile celebrities including Ledger. As per reports, she was dating him just before he died in 2008.
Late Actor Heath Ledger Died Due to Accidental Drug Overdose
Heath Ledger died in his Manhattan home from an accidental drug overdose at age 28 in early 2008. Previous reports suggested that he was depressed after playing Joker in The Dark Knight. However, those rumors were completely shut down by his sister, Kate Ledger who told at the premiere of his documentary at the Tribeca Film Festival, that he was “having fun” while playing Joker in the film.
“Every report was coming out that he was depressed and that [the role] was taking this toll on him, and we’re going, honestly, it was the absolute opposite. It couldn’t be more wrong.”
At the time of death, he was in the middle of production for Terry Gilliam’s fantasy film The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus.
Lindsay Lohan Was Dating Heath Ledger Before He Died

As the 36-year-old star’s mother, Dina Lohan claimed, her daughter was romantically involved with the late actor before his tragic death. Her mother in a leaked phone conversation with Michael Lohan — her ex-husband and Lindsay Lohan‘s dad opened up about their relationship adding that she never recovered from that.
In November 2009, 22 months after Heath’s tragic death, she told her former husband,
“And she was dating Heath when he died? I don’t know if you know that, but I know because I would drop her off and they were friends very, very close, ok?”
In that call, she was quite concerned regarding her daughter’s health as she stated,
“When she’s drunk or takes an Adderall with it she will do something like Heath Ledger did in a second without thinking.”
Dina even revealed that the actor’s passing “f***ed her [Lindsay] up.” After his death, reports suggested that the Disney star was heartbroken with that news and had told friends that she loved him.
