Yes, you read it right. According to Variety, when the Shutter Island star said he’s allowed to speak about the film “It’s going to be great!”, it didn’t actually mean he was returning as Hulk.

Considering Mark Ruffalo’s history with spoilers, Marvel asked him not to share any updates regarding a Hulk standalone film. But since he was asked about it, how can Ruffalo not say anything? Well, the Now You See Me actor didn’t conform to any upcoming project, but he definitely revealed being enthusiastic about it.

According to Comicbook.com, Mark Ruffalo said:

“Not that I know of… I’ve been asked not to comment on it, that specifically. Hopefully, one day though they’ll work it out. I think it could be really cool and I’ve been putting a lot into what it could be to be cool, but I don’t know yet.”

While the Thor Ragnarok star is asked to remain secretive about a Hulk standalone movie, there might be some discussions about the project. However, Marvel is already working on some of its highly anticipated films, which are expected to revive the province of MCU characters and projects.
