Matthew McConaughey Left Emily Blunt Disappointed While She Was in Courtroom With His Wife
Emily Blunt is a prominent figure in the entertainment industry who has been securing successful roles for almost two decades. The actress’s origin lies in the United Kingdom but since she started her Hollywood career Blunt acquired US citizenship during which she recalled an unusual incident.
Emily Blunt recalled her US citizenship journey during which she met Matthew McConaughey and his wife Camilla McConaughey who was also a part of the ceremony. The Oppenheimer star revealed that the actor disappointed her with his attire which made him look like he was on the way to safari.
Emily Blunt Revealed Matthew McConaughey Displeased Her
Emily Blunt is one of the Holyywood actresses who needs no introduction. The Jungle Cruise star’s recent performance in Christopher Nolan‘s Oppenheimer as Robert Oppenheimer’s wife and a former Communist Party USA member gave her immense commendation.
Blunt once disclosed a bizarre day while appearing on The Jimmy Kimmel Live show that during her citizenship ceremony, she met Matthew McConaughey and his wife Camilla McConaughey and how the Interstellar star disappointed her. Emily Blunt said:
“McConaughey shows up looking like he’s going on safari. I was like, ‘You could have worn a shirt and tie,’ like Camilla looks amazing.”
McConaughey’s wife Camilla McConaughey was also getting sworn in with her in the courtroom during which she noticed how The Dark Tower actor’s attire looked like. She humorously suggested McConaughey have appeared formally as his wife did.
Whereas the Edge of Tomorrow actress’s husband John Krasinski had his own witty approach in the courtroom. Blunt’s husband humorously refused to stand with McConaughey and imitated one of the most iconic lines: “All right, all right, all right.” from the movie Dazed and Confused.
Emily Blunt Revealed the Hardest Test She Has Ever Had
While talking about her citizenship journey and labeling it a “bizarre day” Emily Blunt continues to talk about the renouncing of the Queen to become an American citizen. The Devil Wears Prada star explained her experience was “horrible” and included a humorous response. When Jimmy Kimmel asked Blunt about the driving test, she responded:
” It is the hardest test I’ve ever had to take, I guarantee most Americans would have no idea how to answer any of these questions.”
Blunt continued to talk about the unusual questions she was asked during the test and how some of them turned out to be starting for her, but she mentioned all that with humor. Kimmel and Blunt then continued to delve into some fun questions during the show about various aspects.
As for the present time, Emily Blunt made headlines for issuing an apology over her 2012 resurfaced video in which the actress was found using insensitive language for a restaurant waiter. The video came to light after years and when Blunt witnessed it too, she finally presented an apology via People and stated that she was “appalled” to have said “something so insensitive” and “hurtful”.
