The premise of the Rom-com, which was released in 2011, was how Emma and Adam tried to navigate the terms of their casual relationship by making a pact that involved no jealousy, no expectations, and no strings. Whether any strings are still attached in the real-life relationship of Portman remains unclear, but it appears the ring is certainly out of the picture.
Why Natalie Portman Is Back in Australia, Her Former Home
Sydney, Australia is a special place for Natalie Portman, who made the city her home for a year in 2020. The Israeli American actress moved Down Under with her husband and their two children. She’s back in Australia once again, but this time for a very different reason, it seems.
The 42-year-old, who’s co-founder of the National Women’s Soccer League team, Angel City Football Club, is in Sydney to support her club and was pictured walking around the Sydney Harbour and attending the Angel City Equity Summit at the famous Opera House.
Going by Portman’s outfit, it appears even vibes in her personal life aren’t the same this time.

The Closer actress was spotted donning a chic grey blazer over a white dress shirt, combined with a pair of fitted pale blue jeans and black suede slip-on shoes. Needless to say, she looked stunning as always. However, the big miss was her wedding ring.
The absence of her ring or wedding bands wouldn’t have been a newsworthy event in a usual scenario. But the fact the pictures have emerged on the back of reports that claimed her husband Benjamin Millepied had an affair raises a lot of question marks.
Was Natalie Portman Sending Any Message With Her Latest Appearance?
Portman met with the French dancer and choreographer on the set of her film Black Swan in 2009. They tied the knot in 2012 and share two children together.
However, recent reports have suggested the couple is going through a rough patch following Millepied’s purported affair with climate activist Camille Étienne. It was later claimed that the couple had even separated last year.
As such, Portman’s latest appearance in Sydney bereft of her wedding ring has raised the eyebrows of many concerning the current situation of their relationship.
Although, as per the Daily Mail, Portman and Millepied are still together and it’s been reported elsewhere that the Frenchman is doing all he can to get the brilliant actress and businesswoman to forgive him and keep their family together.
