A new popularity ranking study reveals that John Wick: Chapter 4 is the most popular movie of 2023 so far, beating MCU releases and Fast X. Keanu Reeves’ starrer John Wick: Chapter 4 has outperformed multiple MCU titles and Fast X.

Directed by Chad Stahelski, John Wick: Chapter 4 has beaten Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 and Fast X to establish its supremacy as the most-demanded movie of the year to date. Per The Wrap via ScreenRant, a study from Parrot Analytics deduced that Chapter 4 attracted 216 times the demand of the average movie to become the most popular film of the year to date. The demand metrics for the study were calculated based on a propriety system aggregating account viewership, social media engagement, and search engine queries, among other factors.

The film sees Keanu Reeves return as the titular assassin earning a franchise-best $432.4 million in worldwide. It has proven to be a better critical success and gained massive popularity among the viewers with the Lionsgate feature earning a 94% critical rating and a 93% audience score via Rotten Tomatoes. In comparison, Vol. 3 boasts an 81% critical rating and 94% audience score.
