“Remembering good times. Wishing you the best vibes”: Shakira Wishes Rihanna Luck ahead of Super Bowl Halftime Show Performance after Her Own Disastrous Super Bowl Run in With Jennifer Lopez 3 Years Ago
Rihanna taking the stage at the Super Bowl halftime show has become the highlight of the 2023 Super Bowl. Fans have been eagerly waiting for the singer back in action, considering it would be her first live event in years. Her last album, Anti, was released in 2016 and was last seen on stage performing her DJ Khaled collaboration Wild Thoughts during the 2018 Grammy Awards.
Not just her fans but even her fellow singers are excited to see the singer perform and are supporting her. Shakira, who performed at the 2020 Super Bowl, wished her the best vibes ahead of her performance.
Shakira Sends Best Wishes to Rihanna
Shakira took the stage for the 2020 Super Bowl halftime show, which is also considered the first all-Latin Super Bowl halftime show. The show featured singers like Bad Bunny and J Balvin. However, it became popular for Shakira and Jennifer Lopez’s performances on the stage.
It was the first time two female performers shared the stage at the Super Bowl halftime show. Although people enjoyed their performance, Lopez has called it the “worst idea” for two singers to share the Super Bowl halftime show. However, as her fellow singer, Rihanna, is set to take the stage for the 2023 Super Bowl halftime show, Shakira has only best wishes for her.
The Colombian singer has given her best wishes to Rihanna ahead of her 2023 Super Bowl halftime show. She shared the sweet message on Twitter saying, “Remembering good times and wishing you the best vibes for tonight’s show, Rih!” The Barbadian singer featured on Shakira’s Can’t Remember to Forget You, which was released in 2014.

Rihanna Turned Down One of the Biggest Offers to Collaborate With Shakira
Rihanna featured in Shakira’s 2014 song Can’t Remember to Forget You and she reportedly turned down one of the biggest offers of her career for this collaboration. The American rapper Pitbull has shared that he wanted to collaborate with the Barbadian singer for his hit song, Timber.
During an interview with KiddNation, Pitbull shared that he wanted to work on the song with Rihanna but ended up recording the song with Kesha. He said, “The person we were looking at first to work on that record was actually Rihanna. And Rihanna had, I think, something she had to do with Shakira and wasn’t able to work on our record.”
The rapper shared that the opportunity ultimately went to Kesha, and she did an amazing job on the song. Timber became one of the biggest hits of the decade and was No. 1 on the US Billboard Hot 100 for three consecutive weeks. It also topped the charts in multiple countries across the world.
