Since they typically prefer to keep their personal lives separate from their professional lives and very subtly avoid talking about each other during interviews, Zendaya and Tom Holland, who play MJ and Spider-Man, are regarded as one of the most powerful couples in the industry at the moment.
The actress, who is currently preparing for her upcoming American romantic sports drama film, Challengers, in which she co-stars with Josh O’Connor and Mike Faist, was once again in the public eye as Zendaya and Tom Holland’s relationship appeared to be moving forward significantly, according to fans. In her subsequent stories, the actor tackled the crucial phase.
Zendaya clarifies engagement rumors with Tom Holland
The Dune actress Zendaya, recently took to her social media to share a picture of her wearing a Warriors hat and a ring on her engagement finger which convinced the fans that the actress has either tied the knot or is engaged to the Marvel actor, Tom Holland.
She later took to her Instagram stories to clarify that it was not why she had posted the picture. She said via Pop Crave,
“I posted for my hat…Like, not for the ring on my right finger, you guys. Seriously, you think that’s how I would drop the news? Like, what?”
It was after Zendaya’s confession that people believed that the actress had just been supporting her home team as she was wearing a Golden State Warriors hat. She did post a full-body picture of her and captioned it by stating, “Let me just put the full body back so y’all can relax lmao.”
Zendaya and Tom Holland on keeping their relationship private
Spider-Man actors who have been dating for almost three years have expressed from time to time during interviews that they would very much like to keep things between them private and away from the eyes of the media and public.
In a recent interview with Elle, the actress who is now gearing up for her movie Challengers said,
“Parts of my life, I accept, are going to be public. I can’t not be a person and live my life and love the person I love. But also, I do have control over what I choose to share. It’s about protecting the peace and letting things be your own but also not being afraid to exist. You can’t hide. That’s not fun either. I am navigating it more than ever now.”
The two of them have shared sweet birthday posts for each other which is as far as the audience can get a glimpse of their relationship. In Vogue Italy’s July 2022 issue, the actress mentioned that she appreciates fans for being respectful towards her decision to keep her life private and away from the media. She said,
“Many of them have grown up with me and have watched me evolve in different parts of my life and career and, with that, many of us, being around the same age, have similar outlooks on life, similar thoughts or even just hopes and wishes for the future, whether it be for my career or the world. They’re really respectful of my boundaries and the things that I choose to keep a little bit more private and keep for myself.”
Tom Holland on keeping his relationship with Zendaya private
The actor, who is always enthusiastic to talk about things over the years, has calmed himself down when it comes to talking about his relationship with the Euphoria actress. Back in July, appearing on an episode of Wondery podcast Smartless hosted by Jason Bateman, Sean Hayes, and Will Arnett, the actor was asked about the reason why the two of them work so well together, to which he said,
“I’m lucky that I have someone like Zendaya in my life. It’s interesting being in a romantic relationship with someone who is in the same boat as you. You can share your experiences and all that sort of stuff — and that’s worth its weight in gold”.
Back in 2021, when pictures of the two of them kissing in the car went viral, Holland decided to address it in an interview with GQ November 2021 issue in which he said,
“One of the downsides of our fame is that privacy isn’t really in our control anymore, and a moment that you think is between two people that love each other very much is now a moment that is shared with the entire world. I’ve always been really adamant to keep my private life private, because I share so much of my life with the world anyway.”
Back in June, earlier this year, during an interview with BuzzFeed, Tom Holland said that he is locked up so he is happy and in love. The two of them are each other’s biggest cheerleaders.
Zendaya’s Challengers will premiere in theaters on April 26, 2024.
