Tatiana Maslany Reveals Even Disney May Not Want She-Hulk Season 2
Tatiana Maslany’s She-Hulk: Attorney at Law is the eighth television series in the MCU produced by Marvel Studios. Despite being directed by Jessica Gao and having a star-studded cast of Jameela Jamil, Ginger Gonzaga, Tim Roth, Mark Ruffalo, Benedict Wong, and many more, the show failed to make any impression on the audience. It was described as cameo galore and soulless garbage by many media outlets. It is still one of the MCU’s most controversial projects.
Recently, Tatiana Maslany appeared on a Twitch stream and shared an update about She-Hulk’s future, which, although disappointing, did not surprise anyone.
Is She-Hulk Getting A Season 2?
Tatiana Maslany warns against people holding their breath for season 2 of She-Hulk. Recently, she appeared in a Twitch stream, Codenames LIVE! – The New Class, where she shared grave news about the show’s future. According to her, the show blew its budget in season 1 itself and Disney is ready to wash its hands off this expensive project.
Tim Riel: “Should we hope for a Season 2?”
Maslany: “I don’t think so. I think we blew our budget, and Disney was like, ‘No thanks.'”

This is not the first time she has cast doubt over the show’s future. Just after season 1 aired on Disney+, Maslany was talking to Extra, and she said she had not heard any talk about another season of the show. She also said that based on K.E.V.I.N.’s words in episode 9, she does not seem to be expecting anything either.
“I mean, I don’t think so, yet. Kevin in the scene seems to be very dismissive of this idea, so, if we’re basing this off of the real Kevin, it doesn’t seem likely. But he was also, I think, just trying to get rid of Jen, because she was asking too many questions… I don’t know. If I could be coy, and have some little secret, I would do that. But, I really don’t. I don’t know anything.”
Even if She-Hulk season 2 never happens, there are still plenty of projects Maslany’s titular character can be a part of. Daredevil: Born Again is on the horizon and given that Matt Murdock already made an appearance in She-Hulk and they seemed somewhat romantically involved, Maslany can appear on the show.

It is also possible that Marvel is cooking up a solo Hulk movie for Mark Ruffalo. She-Hulk has introduced Bruce’s son, Skaar. With three Hulks existing in the MCU right now, there is no reason not to give Ruffalo a solo movie. Given how close Maslany’s character is to her cousin, there is a high chance she could appear in the movie.
Why Did She-Hulk Fail So Miserably To Win Over The Audience?
Never in the history of Marvel has any show managed to raise such a laundry list of problems from its audience. Ever since the first episode aired, there has been a barrage of complaints, be it over the bad CGI or shallow characters. Especially when the lead character’s appearance hinges on CGI, a lackluster effort on that front is hard to defend. Not just that, the show introduces a bunch of characters with plenty of screen time but no real arc of their own. Oftentimes, the villains, such as the character of Titania, are reduced to stock characters, which is a shame.

It is also pretty disheartening that throughout the entire series, Jennifer’s character hardly goes through any character development. Additionally, there is no real stake in the entire show, which makes it hard to root for Jennifer. She-Hulk also ruined the character of Daredevil, from an intense fighter battling his own demons to a light-hearted support character in a weird new suit.
She-Hulk is available to watch on Disney+.
