The MCU’s Multiverse Saga Completely Disregards the Infinity Stones’ Powers in 3 Aspects
The Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) is one of the greatest franchises in the world. The Multiverse Saga, the current venture of the franchise, has everyone hooked to find out how the superheroes are going to deal with the chaos caused due to the existence of so many universes.
The MCU has time and time again introduced something so powerful that could potentially destroy the entire world if it falls into the wrong hands. For instance, the Infinity Stones which were the primary focus in the aptly named Infinity Saga. These stones were so powerful that Thanos using them with his Infinity Gauntlet erased half of all life in the universe.
However, the franchise has now introduced some weapons that are even more powerful than the Infinity Stones. Here is a list of 3 of them.
The Quantum Bands
In the Disney+ show Ms. Marvel, Kamala Khan was seen wearing some very powerful bracelets. However, at the time, the potential of the bands was not known. This was resolved in the recently released MCU movie The Marvels in which it is revealed that Khan’s bracelets are the Quantum Bands, the mythical relic that enhance the wearer’s powers.
These bands can absorb a lot of power and hence, only beings that have superpowers and can tolerate a huge flow of power can use them. This implies that if the right superhero were to put them on, they would outdo the Infinity Gauntlet and the Infinity Stones.
The Universal Weapon
The Universal Weapon is a staff-hammer hybrid whose use was seen for the first time in the franchise in 2014’s Guardians of the Galaxy in which Ronan the Accuser was seen using it. What was originally just a cosmic hammer has now turned into a device that could cause massive destruction.
The weapon was seen again in The Marvels with the villain Darr-Benn using it. Apart from being a highly destructive weapon, it also has a transmutation ability which can prove to be very dangerous. According to Marvel Comics, the Univeral Weapon can be life-threatening to some of the strongest superheroes such as the Silver Surfer and the Thing. The return of this weapon to the MCU after so many years is quite concerning.
God Loki
Tom Hiddleston‘s Loki has always been a very strong character in the MCU. Now, with him getting his god status back in the final episode of Loki Season 2, he has not only become the most powerful being in the multiverse but also a potential living weapon in the franchise.

Thanks to his newfound abilities, God Loki can easily slip into whichever point in time he wants considering he has become the master of timelines. This implies that the antihero can deal with any enemy and even powers that are greater than that of the Infinity Stones. God Loki can not be underestimated in the wars that will be happening in the MCU as the Multiverse Saga heads towards the end.
