Actress Sharon Stone left her fans shocked after she announced that she has a tumor. The actress, who is widely known for her work in Basic Instinct, announced that a tumor was detected after a misdiagnosis made her go to the hospital and undergo surgery she didn’t need. The actress urged everyone to consult a second doctor as it might save someone’s life. She posted a tweet on her Twitter account announcing that she underwent surgery that she was not supposed to go through but then decided to consult another doctor who concluded that she has a fibroid tumor that needs to be removed immediately. She also urged women to go to a second doctor because as per studies, women are more likely than men to suffer misdiagnosis.

Actress Sharon Stone revealed that she had been misdiagnosed by doctors and actually had a fibroid tumor that needed to be removed. She tweeted on November 1st,
“Just had another misdiagnosis and incorrect procedure. This time double epidural. With worsening pain went for a SECOND OPINION: I have a large fibroid tumor that must come out.”
The actress is now expected to go through another surgery that will remove the tumor from her body. She then said she will be down for 4-6 weeks for “full recovery.”
The actress urged women to always get a second opinion
In the same post, the actress urged everyone, especially women, to not “get blown off,” and always get a second doctor’s opinion because “it can save your life.” The actress herself found out about her tumor because of a second doctor who ran a diagnosis test. She also posted a link to an article titled, “Women Are More Likely Than Men to Suffer Misdiagnosis, According to Studies,” urging all women to read it.
