Tom Brady Has Found His New Passion While He Tries to get Over Gisele Bündchen and NFL
Tom Brady is one of the most successful quarterbacks in NFL history, and his name has become a symbol of excellence on the playing field. When the New England Patriots selected Brady in the sixth round of the 2000 NFL Draft, his professional career officially began. The 45-year-old started as the backup quarterback before taking over in 2001 and soon became one of the league’s best players. He has received various trophies throughout his career, including three NFL MVP awards, five Super Bowl MVPs, and seven Super Bowl championships.
Recently, he has been making headlines with reports suggesting he is trying to move on from his past, including retirement and his divorce from Gisele Bundchen, with the help of his new passion.
Tom Brady Reportedly Turns To Softball As A New Hobby
The NFL legend is widely known for his unwavering dedication and passion for football. However, as he settles into retirement, he appears to be branching out and exploring new interests outside of the sport. Despite his retirement, it is hard to imagine Tom Brady ever fully giving up life in the NFL.
Nonetheless, the former New England Patriots star has become more invested in other sports. Brady recently invested in the Las Vegas Aces, a WNBA team, and collaborated with the JOTA Sports Car team. However, his most recent interest seems to be softball, a sport in which his niece, Maya Brady, excels.
A softball player, who plays at UCLA, has made a name for herself as an athlete and will be playing at the WBSC World Cup in Dublin this summer.
The UCLA softball team also confirmed the news in their Instagram post, stating,
“Golden Eagle Bruins 🇺🇸. Megan Faraimo, Maya Brady, and Ally Carda will compete for @USASoftball at the WBSC World Cup in Dublin, Ireland this summer from July 11-15!”.
In a recent Instagram story, the seven-time Super Bowl champion shared his pride and excitement for his niece’s achievement, congratulating her on being selected to compete for the USA Softball team.
Maya’s success on the field has impressed and inspired her uncle, she disclosed,
“His support is very influential for me. He is a huge factor in my life, so it’s nice to know that he is supporting me. For such a person with such — so many accolades, a male athlete, to support women’s sports is just huge for our game. It’s cool that he was drawing attention to the World Series in general.”
The football player has become more active on social media and supportive of women’s sports. Earlier, Brady shared on Twitter,
“Must run in the family (Sorry Mom!). The winner takes all in 20 minutes. LET’S GO!”
Brady’s love for softball seems to be a new passion that he has taken up, perhaps as a way to stay competitive and engaged in sports even after retiring from football.
What Led To The Divorce Of Tom Brady And Gisele Bundchen?
Brady and Gisele Bundchen, the once powerful couple in the entertainment industry, announced their divorce after 13 years of marriage. The pair confirmed the split on October 2022, despite rumors circulating for some time.
In response, both posted on Instagram to express their gratitude for the time they spent together and spoke about the challenges they faced in reaching this decision. The professional athlete said,
“In recent days, my wife and I finalized our divorce from one another after 13 years of marriage. We arrived at this decision amicably and with gratitude for the time we spent together.”
The Brazilian model expressed her thanks and love for their children, whom she said were her priorities. She wrote,
“With much gratitude for our time together, Tom and I have amicably finalized our divorce. My priority has always been and will continue to be our children whom I love with all my heart. We will continue co-parenting to give them the love, care, and attention they greatly deserve.”
Although Brady had a successful career in the NFL, one of the most dominant players in its history, he revealed on his Sirius XM podcast Let’s Go! in September 2022 that once he had children, things changed. He revealed,
“You can’t stop your life even though sports is happening. Even though I’m playing in my 23rd year, I have a freshman in high school that is playing football, too. I have a 12-year-old that is going through his life. I have a 9-year-old that is going through her life. And I have parents.”
Brady was not able to prioritize his family because of his career, which led to their divorce. Bundchen also opened up to the media about the risks associated with having her husband play football and how it affected their family. She said,
“Obviously, I have my concerns — this is a very violent sport, and I have my children and I would like him to be more present,”
After their split, the couple has maintained a strong co-parenting relationship, prioritizing their children’s well-being above everything else.
