His daughter, Isabella Jane Cruise got married to Max Parker in September 2015, however, her parents, Cruise and Kidman were nowhere to be found despite the actor paying for it. This sparked rumors as people assumed that Cruise’s relationship with her daughter took a hit. However, the actual reason was something else.

Actor Tom Cruise‘s daughter, Isabella Jane Cruise, got married to Max Parker in September 2015. The couple did not want the media’s attention so they planned a low-key wedding. Neither Isbaella’s parents, Tom Cruise or Nicole Kidman, nor Max’s attended the lavish wedding. Sources said,
“Sources connected with Tom and Bella tell TMZ, she and Max wanted a super small wedding in London with a few friends and that was it … no parents were invited. We’re told Tom was not only cool with the decision, he footed the bill for the wedding and party at the fancy schmancy Dorchester hotel.”
As per TMZ, it was a very small ceremony at Dorchester hotel in London. It was also revealed that Tom Cruise had paid for the entire ceremony.
Why did the actor ditch his daughter’s wedding?
After reports emerged about the actor’s absence from his daughter’s wedding, rumors started spreading about his relationship with his kids. Many felt like he is not on good terms with his daughter. However, that was not the case as several sources revealed,
“Tom is filming a new film that is taking time and millions of dollars not to mess up scheduling, along with that he also didn‘t go to the wedding because it was his daughter’s wishes and he knows that if he went it would be all about him. Paps and guests would have made it a less special day had they been focusing on Tom.”
It makes sense that the actor would’ve stolen the thunder with his stardom. He obviously wanted his daughter to enjoy her important day and decided to respect her decision.
Tom Cruise will always be there for his children
The actor has always supported his children, which is quite evident as he volunteered to pay for his daughter’s wedding despite not receiving the invite. He once said,
“My whole life I always wanted to be a father. They’re good people, my children. I’m proud of them. I don’t want them to worry. They know I’m there. No matter what, I’m always there.”
It was also revealed that after the wedding, Isabella did not ask for financial support from her father as she lived in a one-bedroom apartment in a converted terraced house, which they share with three other people.
