Taylor Swift is one of the leading singers in the Hollywood industry who has dominated almost the world through her music. Taylor Swift Set to Become a Hollywood Director!
The 32-year-old singer, Taylor Swift is collaborating with Searchlight Pictures to make her feature-length directorial debut with a new film. As per the reports, she has written an original script which is yet to be unveiled.
For the unversed, Searchlight Pictures is the subsidiary company of Walt Disney Studios which is behind films like Slumdog Millionaire, The Shape of Water, and Nomadland. The presidents of the production house, David Greenbaum and Matthew Greenfield praised the singer for her talent as an artist and stated about their collaboration with Swift.
“Taylor is a once-in-a-generation artist and storyteller. It is a genuine joy and privilege to collaborate with her as she embarks on this exciting and new creative journey.”
Even though this will be her first feature film, she has directed videos for All Too Well and The Man, winning MTV VMAs for both. Not just that, All Too Well: The Short Film has also been qualified for next year’s Oscar for the best short film.

The Fearless singer’s fans, Swifties, are not so happy about the former getting her hands on feature films. Many were concerned that her yet-to-be-revealed film might become a flop and wanted her to focus on her singing. Many went to Twitter and expressed their opinions on this topic.

Her acting as well as the acting of Laura Dern in the bejeweled music video she directed was horrible. Those scenes should've been reshot. Directing isn't songwriting, sit this one out.

While many were not happy with her recent decision, a few also came to support their artist and encouraged her to continue pursuing what she had decided. The Midnights singer apart from her feature-directorial debut is also set to embark on her 2023 tour, The Eras Tour, which will be her first all-stadium tour since 2018.
