Tyrese Gibson begged ex-wife Norma Mitchell to end their custody battle
Actor Tyrese Gibson, who was married to Norma Mitchell from 2007 to 2009 and they share a daughter, Shayla. Back when the two of them decided to separate, Norma had obtained a temporary domestic violence restraining order against Gibson claiming that he had physically abused her and their daughter, which he had denied. But Norma obtained physical and legal custody of their daughter.
The actor then took to his social media back in 2017 to address his ex-wife in a video where he could be seen breaking down and saying, “Don’t take my baby. Please don’t take my baby. This is all I got. I’ve been away from my baby for two months. I just want my baby and no one’s listening because no one is in the courtroom.”
The Fast and Furious actor also claimed that he is paying about $13,000 a month in legal fees and noted that none of his millionaire or billionaire friends have shown up to help him. In 2017, during a court hearing, it was reported that the actor had already paid his attorney $68,055 but still owed $133,750 and he was paying the attorney from his ‘personal funds’. It was also noted that his expenses were close to $107, 576 when he declared that he earned $105,686. The documents also state that the actor has $884,658 in cash and savings.
At the time, Tyrese Gibson shared that Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith had provided him with $ 5 million to help him out with expenses, which was false. His ex-wife claimed that the actor is bipolar and accused him of being abusive over the years, which he had denied, and in 2015, the actor said that he only married Norma Mitchell so that she could be a US Citizen. He said,
“That marriage was a marriage, but it wasn’t really a marriage. She’s from London and we had a baby on the way. When immigration is calling, you got to do what you got to to do…I did it to keep her in the country.” They were given joint custody of their daughter in November 2017 and apologized to everyone for having a meltdown on the Internet.

Tyrese Gibson ordered to pay $1000 in child support to ex-wife Samantha Lee Gibson
The actor seems a little unlucky in terms of his relationship as he married Samantha Lee in 2017 and they share a daughter, Soraya Lee. The couple announced their separation in 2020 and it was later reported that the actor was schooled by the judge during their divorce proceedings and was ordered to pay $1000 in child support to his ex-wife.
Gibson was also ordered to maintain a life insurance plan of $1.9 million with Soraya as the beneficiary and Lee as the trustee. The judge had emphasized that the child support was not a punishment for the actor and added that he is going to see the dividends it pays to their child, noting that he should put the money where it belongs- in the child.
It was also reported that after the couple split, the actor was ordered by the court to pay his ex-wife and her legal attorneys a whopping amount of $636,000 in August last year after he refused to pay $ 10,000 in child support and was charged with contempt of court in April.

In his recent released song Love Transaction, the Fast and Furious actor decided to take a dig at his ex-wife as he stated that she is asking for a lot more than she needs to take care of their daughter. In the song, he asks his ex-wife if that was love or a transaction.
He had opened up about their relationship, stating that they became stronger at the beginning of the 2020 lockdown, but then he went back to work and they started to argue about his schedule and in late 2020 she told him that she was leaving. Even though they announced their separation in December 2020, their divorce has not been finalized yet.
The actor explained about his divorce in his album Beautiful Pain but the release date has not been announced as of now.
